天符經의 ‘一’에 관한 우주론적 고찰 (A Study on The Cosmological Meaning of "IL" in [Cheon Bu Kyung])

초록

본 논문의 목적은 기존의 『천부경』에 대한 해석의 문제점을 검토하고 새로운 해석의 기준을 제시하고자 하는데 있다. 『천부경』 해석에 있어서 지금까지 다양한 방법이 동원되었으나 본 논문에서는 ‘생성론’과 ‘구조론’의 적절한 조화를 통해 분석하는 기준을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 우선 『천부경』 의 핵심이라 할 수 있는 ‘一’의 개념과 성격을 우주론적 입장에서 분석하고자 하였다.
‘一始無始’를 통해 우주만물이 어디에서 시작하여 어떤 순서로 발생하였는가 하는 점을 중시하는 생성론적 견해만으로는 우주만물의 참다운 본질을 파악할 수 없고, 시작도 끝도 없는 우주만물은 스스로 존재하고 일정한 조화와 질서를 통하여 항상의 차원에서 순환한다고 보는 구조론적 견해와 함께 볼 때 우주만물의 참모습을 파악할 수 있다는 것을 설명하였다.
또한 ‘一析三極’을 통하여 우주만물의 근원적 존재원리인 ‘一’이 현상계의 모습으로 나타날 때 ‘三極’인 ‘天･地･人’으로 나타나고 있음을 체용론과 삼원론을 통해 분석하였다. 여기서도 우주만물의 근원적 존재원리인 ‘一’로부터 현상계의 상징적인 모습인 ‘天･地･人’이 순서에 따라 발생한다는 생성론적 입장뿐만 아니라, 우주만물의 구성 속에 근원적 존재원리인 ‘一’이 항상 내재되어 있다는 구조론적 입장을 함께 설명하였다.
이와 더불어 「천부경」의 나머지 부분을 통해서도 ‘一’은 우주만물의 생성과 구성 및 변화를 주관하는 근원적 존재원리이며 나아가 현상계를 실질적으로 구성하는 요소로 나타나 다양한 모습으로 작용함을 밝혀 보았다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the problems with existing interpretations of [Cheon Bu Kyung] and to present new standards for understanding it. Although many different methods have been taken to interpret [Cheon Bu Kyung] previously, this study proposes to use an analytical standard that is based on the adequate harmony of cosmogony and cosmography.
This study first attempts to analyze the definitions and properties of "Il" in [Cheon Bu Kyung], which can be considered the core, from the cosmological perspective.
In the analysis of "Il Shi Moo Shi", the view of cosmogony alone is not sufficient enough to understand the true essence of all things in the universe since it only sets a high value on where all things came from and in which order the universe was created. However, cosmography brings in another aspect. In the view of cosmography, it is considered that the universe exists by itself without beginning nor ending and it always circulates in the same dimension or situation, following certain harmony and systematic order. Thus the true essence of all things in the universe can be understood only when it is considered with both views of cosmogony and cosmology together.
When "Il", the ultimate principle of Being in the universe, appears in the phenomenal world, it becomes "Cheon-heaven", "Jee-earth", "In-human beings", which means "Sam Keuk". This interpretation is derived from the analysis of "Il Seok Sam Keuk" through [Chae-Yong Principle] and [Sam-Won Principle]. Here, in the view of Cosmogony, "Cheon, Jee, In", the symbols of "Il" in the phenomenal world, all came out of "Il", the ultimate principle of Being, in order; first "Cheon", then "Jee" and at last "In". In the view of cosmography, "Il" is immanent in all things in the universe. "Il" is always an essential and integral part of all things in the universe. Both views are taken for this part of analysis.
Additionally, by examining the remaining part of [Cheon Bu Kyung], this study attempts to explain that (1)"Il" is the ultimate principle of Being, which is responsible for the creation, formation, and changes of all things in the universe, and (2)"Il" acts and shows itself in various forms and ways as an actual, essential part of the phenomenal world.
