마한·백제권 고분 출토 외래경의 부장 배경 (The background of Exotic Mirror Burial in the Mahan and Baekje Area)

초록

본고의 목적은 삼국시대 마한·백제권 고분에서 확인된 외래경의 부장배경을 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 마한·백제권 고분에서는 다양한 종류의 외래경이 확인되지만, 가야권에서 출토된 외래경에 비해 단편적인 자료 검토에 한정되어 있다.
현재까지 마한·백제권에서 확인된 외래경은 문양대에 따라 총 8가지 종류로 구분할 수 있으며, 세부적으로 중국경 6형식, 일본경(왜경) 2형식으로 확인된다.
앞서 검토한 형식을 바탕으로 거울의 제작연대와 동일 고분에서 동반되는 부장유물의 연대를 비교한 결과, 중국경은 연대가 비슷하거나 최대 3세기의 전세기간이 확인된다. 그러나 일본경은 중국경과 달리 동반되는 유물의 연대가 일치하거나 차이가 적기 때문에 전세 가능성이 낮은 것으로 보인다.
외래경의 부장배경은 거울이 출토된 유구와 동반유물의 성격을 통하여 추론하고자 하였으며 이를 3시기로 구분하였다. Ⅰ기는 4세기 후엽~5세기 전엽 이른 시기에 해당하며 아산만권에서 확인된다. 외래경은 삼국시대 이전부터 있었던 중국 강남지역과의 교역 과정에서 유입되었고, 지역 내에서 전세되었을 가능성이 높을 것으로 판단된다. Ⅱ기는 5세기 전엽 늦은 시기~중엽에 해당하며 남해안권을 중심으로 외래경이 부장된다. 외래경은 매장시설의 성격을 보았을 때, 왜5왕 견사와 관련된 북부 큐슈세력과 연관이 깊고 이들과의 교섭과정에서 외래경이 유입되었을 가능성이 높다. Ⅲ기는 5세기 중후엽~6세기에 해당하며 금강유역권·남해안권·영산강유역권에서 외래경이 확인된다. 금강유역권 외래경은 백제중앙정권이 중국 남조와 일본과의 교섭과정 중에 유입된 것으로 보인다. 남해안권·영산강유역권 외래경은 현지세력이 다양한 계통의 유물을 선택적으로 수용하는 과정에서 유입된 것으로 해석된다.
마한·백제권 고분 출토 외래경은 시기에 따라 집단들 간의 다양한 접촉과정에서 유입되었고, 각 지역의 정치·사회·문화 이해관계 속에서 출현한 결과물로 보인다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is grasped the background of exotic mirror burial in Mahan and Baekje Area during Three Kingdoms Period. Although various types of exotic mirror have been identified in Mahan and Baekje, they are limited to reviewing exotic mirrors compared to those excavated in the Gaya region.
The exotic mirror were found to have been produced in China and Japan, and a total of 8 types were divided according to the designated stand. So far, the exotic mirror of Mahan and Baekje has been identified as 6 types of Chinese and 2 types of Japanese.
Based on the type of mirror i looked at earlier, the analysis together with the burial relics identified in the ancient tomb, the mirror of china was likely to have had the hereditary period of at least a century to a maximum of 3rd centuries. However, the mirror of japan showed that the hereditary period was shorter than the mirror of China or that it could see that it had entered immediately without a hereditary period.
The background of exotic mirror burial was to be inferred from the characteristics of the remains and companion relics. The exotic mirror burial of Asan Bay area is between the late 4th century and the early 5th century, it was suggested that it might have been introduced through the southern of China. In addition, a comparison between the production period and burial period of exotic mirror, cofirmed that exotic mirror was hereditary. The exotic mirror burial of the westsouth coast is between the middle 5th century and the late 5th century, Considering the nature of the burial facilities with mirrors and mirrors, it is highly likely the mirror was assumed to related the Dispatch of Japanese 5 King`s to China. The exotic mirror burial of the Yeongsan River basin is between the mid- to late 5th century and the early 6th century, It was interpreted that local forces selectively accepted artifacts from various systems.
The exotic mirror burial of Geumgang River basin area is the early 6th century, It saw the influx of Baekje during negotiations with China's Southern Dynasties or Japan.
The exotic mirrors burial in Mahan and Baekje Area were accepted in various ways through negotiation and trade of various forces depending on the timing.
