《창란결》의 크로스미디어 스토리텔링: 서사구조와 댓글 분석을 중심으로 (Cross-media storytelling of “Changrangyeol”: Focusing on narrative structure and comment analysis)

초록

중국의 웹드라마는 2014년~2015년에 폭발적인 성장기를 겪으면서 많은 작품이 쏟아져 나왔다. 그리고 많은 웹드라마가 웹소설을 원천소스로 하고 있다.
본고에서는 2022년 최대 흥행작《창란결(苍兰诀)》을 대상으로 웹소설과 웹드라마의 서사구조를 분석하여 플랫폼별 스토리텔링의 차이를 고찰하였다. 그리고 웹소설과 웹드라마의 소비자 댓글을 분석하여 플랫폼 및 스토리텔링의 차이에 따른 소비자 반응을 확인하였다.
웹소설 소비자의 키워드 분석 결과, 웹드라마를 보고 웹소설 읽기를 시도한 경우가 많았으며, 작품의 캐릭터에 많은 관심이 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 반해 웹드라마의 소비자들은 스토리에 관심이 많았으며, 캐릭터는 물론이고 배우의 매력도, 특수효과, 사운드트랙 등에 관심이 많은 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
웹소설과 웹드라마에 대한 소비자의 반응의 차이를 살펴보기 위하여 아이디를 기준으로 분석한 결과, 웹소설과 웹드라마 모두 중립댓글의 사용이 가장 많았으나, 긍정댓글의 비율이 부정댓글보다 높아 웹소설과 웹드라마 모두 소비자들에게 만족감을 주고 있으며, 웹소설보다 웹드라마의 긍정 비율이 증가해 크로스미디어스토리텔링에 성공하였음을 알 수 있었다.
내러티브 분석 결과 웹소설의 여자주인공은 하위모방의 주체로 기능하고 있고, 웹드라마의 여자주인공은 상위모방의 주체로 캐릭터가 조형되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 같은 다른 서사구조는 소비자 반응의 차이를 가져왔는데, 클라이맥스를 접한 웹소설의 소비자에게는 탄식의 댓글이 많았고, 웹소설이 현실을 반영한 리얼리즘에 기초한 작품에 호응한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 반해 웹드라마의 경우 영웅의 자기희생에 대한 경탄의 댓글이 다수인 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

Chinese web dramas went through an explosive growth period between 2014 and 2015, and many works poured out. And many web dramas are based on web novels.
In this paper, the differences in storytelling by platform were examined by analyzing the narrative structure of web novels and web dramas for the biggest box office hit "Changrangyeol" in 2022. In addition, by analyzing consumer comments on web novels and web dramas, consumer reactions according to differences in platform and storytelling were confirmed.
As a result of analyzing the comments of web novel consumers, there were many cases of trying to read web novels by watching dramas, and it was confirmed that they were very interested in the character of the work. On the other hand, it was confirmed that consumers of dramas were interested in stories, and were interested in characters as well as actors' attractiveness, special effects, and soundtracks.
According to an analysis based on ID to examine the difference in consumer response to web novels and web dramas, neutral comments were used the most in both web novels and web dramas, but the percentage of positive comments was higher than negative comments, giving satisfaction to consumers in both web novels and web dramas, and the positive rate of web dramas increased compared to web novels, so cross-media storytelling was successful.
As a result of narrative analysis, it was found that the female protagonist of the web novel functions as the subject of sub-imitation, and the female protagonist of the drama is shaped as the subject of the upper imitation. This other narrative structure brought about a difference in consumer reactions, and it was confirmed that the consumers of web novels who encountered the climax had many comments of sighing and were based on realism reflecting reality. On the other hand, in the case of dramas, it was confirmed that many comments of admiration about the hero's self-sacrifice dominated.
