미용학과 학생들의 컬러리스트 국가자격시험에 대한 인식도 조사 (Awareness Survey on National License Examination for Colorist of the Students Majoring in Beauty Arts)

초록

미용은 컬러를 중요시하고 컬러로 이미지 작업을 하는 분야로서 본 연구에서는 현 미용전공학생들의 관점에서 컬러의 중요성과 자격증 제도에 대한 인식도를 조사하여 컬러리스트 교육의 개선 및 시사점을 찾는 기초 자료를 제공하고, 컬러리스트 국가기술자격 검정제도의 개선방향에 도움이 될 수 있는 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 자료 분석은 SPSS v. 14.0 통계 패키지 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 분석기법으로 빈도분석과 교차분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 범위는 광주광역시, 전라남북도에 위치한 미용관련과 중 2년제·4년제 대학, 대학원생을 대상으로 설문의 취지를 설명한 후 설문지를 작성하고 회수된 설문지 중 유효한 225부로 통계처리 하였다. 연구의 주된 내용은 컬러리스트의 정의, 컬러리스트 국가 자격제도, 미용과 컬러리스트, 그리고 컬러리스트 자격증 취득에 대한 인식과 컬러리스트 자격증 필기 실기시험에 대한 인식도 분석으로 구성되어진다. 연구결과 미용전공 학생들은 헤어, 피부, 메이크업, 네일 등 모든 전공분야에서 컬러의 중요성을 인식하고 있고, 컬러리스트 자격증 취득을 필요로 하고 있다. 컬러리스트 국가 자격제도의 인식도 조사 분석결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 시사점을 제공한다. 첫째, 학생들은 대체적으로 자격증 준비를 학원에서 하는 것으로 나타났다. 대학에서는 현 실정에 맞는 관련강의를 개설하여 학생들에게 자격증 취득과 취업에 도움을 줄 수 있는 교육과정의 변화가 필요하다. 둘째, 자격증 제도를 활성화하기 위해서는 학생들에게 자격증 취득 후 미용 관련 컬러리스트 프로그램 교육을 받게 하는 변화가 필요하다. 이는 학생들이 취업 후미용 산업에서 컬러리스트 자격증을 활발히 활용하는 계기가 된다. 미용인에 대한 전문성을 함양할 수 있도록 제도적인 접근이 필요하며 미용 산업과 관련된 컬러리스트 교육 프로그램 개발이 필요한 시점이라 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 컬러리스트 국가 자격제도의 합격자 발표시간 단축, 자격증 접수 금액 가격 하락, 실기시험 시행 시간 확대와 같은 보완점을 개선한다면 학생들의 자격증 시험에 대한 부담감이 적어질 것이라 제언한다.

영어초록

As beauty is a field that makes much account of color, and makes image designs with color, this study was designed to come up with basic data for improvements and implications of colorist education, and data for improvements of the Korean certification system for colorist by surveying the awareness of the importance of color and license system from the current standpoint of students majoring in beauty arts.
The SPSS v. 14.0 was used for the data analysis of this study. For analysis technique, frequency analysis and crosstabulation analysis were carried out. Questionnaires were filled out after explaining the object of survey on students in dept. of beauty arts of two-year and four-year colleges and graduate schools located in Gwangju and Jeollanambuk-do. The 225 valid copies of collected questionnaires were statistically treated. The main contents of research are composed of the definition of colorist, national license system for colorist, beauty and colorist, and analysis on awareness of colorist certificate and written exam˙ practical test for colorist license. The study says students ajoring in beauty arts recognize the importance of color in all majors such as hair, skin, makeup and nail, and need the acquisition of colorist license. The awareness survey of the Korean certification system for colorist provided with the following implications. First, most of the students have prepared the license exam at the institute. So colleges need the change of curriculum to help them get certified and enter the work force by opening the appropriate related lectures for its current circumstances. Second, colleges need the change that provides them with the program education for colorist related to beauty after getting certified to improve the license system. This is an opportunity for them to make the active use of colorist license in the beauty industry after entering the work force. An institutional approach enables them to foster the specialty for beauty artists, and for now, it is necessary to develop educational programs for colorist related to the beauty industry. Third, the improvement of supplement points -- the reduction of time when successful applicants are announced in the national license system for colorist, a drop in license acceptance prices, and the expansion of practice test time -- will ease the burden on students' license exam.
