장애인 체육대회 관람객의 내・외적 동기와 사회적 가치 간의 관계 (The Relationship Between Internal and External Motivations of Spectators at Disability Sports Events and Social Value)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 장애인 체육대회 관람객의 내・외적 동기와 사회적 가치 간의 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 연구 대상은 2024년 10월25일부터 10월 30일까지 경상남도에서 개최된 제44회 전국 장애인 체육대회에 방문한 종목별 경기장의 관람객 221명이다. 사전검사를통해 규명된 설문 도구를 사용하여 현장에서 자기평가기입법으로 자료를 수집한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 내·외적 동기 조사도구는 Deci와 Ryan(1985)의 자기결정성 이론을 바탕으로 내적 동기 11문항, 외적 동기 8문항, 총 18문항으로 구성된 도구를사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 활용하여 상관분석, 회귀분석, 그리고 구조방정식 모형(SEM)을 통해 분석하였다. 첫째, 관람객의 내적 동기 중 즐거움이 사회적 통합에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 관람객의 내적 동기 중 즐거움은 사회적 기여도에긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 관람객의 내・적 동기는 사회적 인식 변화에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 넷째, 관람객의 외적 동기 중 보상과 외부 요인이 포용성 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 관람객의 내・적 동기는 사회적 가치에 긍정적인 영향을미쳤다. 결론적으로, 장애인 체육대회 관람객의 내적 동기인 즐거움과 외적 동기인 보상 및 외부 요인을 적절히 활성화하고 강화하는것이 사회적 통합과 포용성 증진, 사회적 기여도를 높이는 데 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 따라서, 장애인 체육대회 관람객의 동기가사회적 가치를 촉진하는 핵심 요인이라는 점이 확인된 만큼, 앞으로 장애인 체육대회의 사회적 가치를 높이고 활성화하기 위해 내・ 외적 동기를 긍정적으로 유하고 강화할 수 있는 전략 수립이 필요하다는 결론을 얻었다.

영어초록

This study aimed to examine the relationship between internal and external motivations of spectators at disability sports events and their perceived social value. Data were collected using a self-assessment questionnaire from 221 spectators of the 44th National Sports Festival for the Disabled, and the data were analyzed according to the research objectives. Based on the results, the following conclusions were drawn: First, the enjoyment factor, a key internal motivation of the spectators, positively influenced social integration. The more the spectators enjoyed the games, the more social integration increased. Second, the enjoyment factor also had a positive impact on social contribution, showing that greater enjoyment led to higher levels of social contribution among the spectators. Third, it was found that neither internal nor external motivations of the spectators had a significant influence on social perception change, indicating that there was no direct relationship between spectator motivation and changes in social perception. Fourth, among external motivations, external factors and rewards positively influenced the enhancement of inclusiveness. As the external motivations of the spectators increased, inclusiveness also improved. Fifth, both internal and external motivations of the spectators positively affected social value, confirming that encouraging positive internal and external motivations could enhance social value. In conclusion, the study found that the internal and external motivations of spectators positively influenced social value elements such as social integration, social contribution, and inclusiveness. Therefore, fostering and reinforcing spectators' internal motivations, such as enjoyment, and external motivations, such as external factors and rewards, could promote social integration, increase inclusiveness, and enhance social contribution. These findings suggest the need for a strategic approach to strengthen the social role of disability sports events and emphasize that spectator motivations are key drivers in promoting various aspects of social value.
