초록

Complexation of public library has occurred due to the political change of domestic public library and the change of social structural·cultural object, since 2000, and the number has rapidly increased from 8 to 58. Besides the function to merely satisfy cultural part, it provides users' cultural requirement and cultural contents of community, e.g. addition of various rooms which support community residents' culture and leisure activities as the complex cultural space beyond the basic role of the library such as reading and lending, etc., by combining with public cultural welfare facilities and commercially purposed facilities. Also, as the function and role are extended due to complexation of public libraries, users of the space are increasing, however they are not satisfying the users' convenience and requirements, and the standard of the majority researches on complexation of public library is treated being merely related to the complexation of cultural programs.
Here, this research selected 38 libraries, excluding 28 libraries which are the separate type on the same land of the libraries before 2000 and which do not perform the function of library, among 66 public libraries which went through 'public cultural welfare facilities' and complexation, among 828 public libraries in the nation since 2012, and comprehended users requirement feature of the facilities besides the library and complex facilities as the research on space composition in accordance with various user requirements of library users, library managers, complex facility users, complex facility manager. This research is insufficient in respect of the research on the complexation of the existing facilities, this research is insufficient, also, it has limitation as the method of quantitative space composition, so that the researcher performed user requirement analysis in the in-depth approach of Focus Group Interview, which was formulaic analysis method, and derived analysis index which must be considered when composing the public library according to public service area, user area, manager area by 6 evaluation standards, i.e. accessibility, reciprocity, efficiency, vitality, diversity, functionality.
