아쿠타가와 류노스케의 『손수건(手巾)』론 - 니시야마 부인의 신체성과 기후초롱의 불빛을 중심으로 - (Ryunosuke Akutagawa 『 handkerchief (手巾) 』 theory - Focus on Nishiyama wife’s body &the lights of the lanterns -)

초록

明治維新以来、政治や経済、法律などのすべてが西洋の規格に合わせて再編されて半世紀が過ぎ、その時点で大正が始まった。そして、大正が始まる頃、封建主義から近代又は資本主義へと向かう変化の真ん中で起る世代間の衝突、伝統と西洋文物の衝突は当然なことであって、自然な現象である。大正５年、『中央公論』の10月号に発表された『手巾』は、こういう葛藤の時代相にとても適切だと云える、日本の伝統と西洋文物の衝突を表面に表わしている。『手巾』は、亡くなった弟子の母親である西山夫人を中心に、武士道の日本的なものと、東京帝国大学の長谷川謹造教授を囲むアメリカ人の婦人の趣向とキリスト教的精神、ストリントベルクの演出法などを登場させて、これらを互いに混合し、対立させている。そして、長谷川先生は自分が絶対的に支持する武士道としての夫人の行為が、西洋の演出法で、非難される部分と類似な点がみられることによって、混乱に陥ることになる。 今までの研究では、主に、この實生活と演劇という違いにも関わらず、その類似性によって混乱に陥る長谷川先生の愚かさを通して、先生のモデルである新渡戸稲造を批判し、西山夫人との対話で現れる武士道のイデオロギ性を批判している。 本稿では、現実のモデルとの連係に注目するよりは、テキストに表れている長谷川先生と弟子との関係に注目してみようと思う。長谷川先生は、表面的には、学業は勿論、思想や感情の面でも学生達と親密であるように見えるが、実際には真心がなく、疏通も断絶されている。このような関係は東洋と西洋を繋ぐコスモポリタンであろうするが、結局どちらにもなれない先生自身の内部的な矛盾を表している。しかし、武士道に対しては絶対的な信頼が付与されている。このような絶対的な視線の中で先生は、徹底的に除外されていた西山夫人の身体と出逢うことになる。すべてが見られる状況の中でも、感情が排除されることによって、断絶され、疏通されなかった先生と夫人の関係は、夫人の身体を通して表れる感情を接することによって、再設定される。そして、決定的な切っ掛けとなるのは、夜の空間が開き、今まで日本的なものを代表しながら装飾的な機能のみを見せてくれていた提灯が、本来の機能を回復し、提灯の仄かで明るい光を活かすことになってからである。『手巾』は、西川夫人の身体を通して、個人の苦痛と感情に気付きながらも、気付いていない武士道のイデオロギが持つ虚構と非倫理性を現している。そして、人間の実の人生と自然的に調和する仄かで明るい提灯を通して、個人の身体とその内面の感情を強調し、これに対する真面目な煩悩を促している。

영어초록

Since the Meiji Restoration, everything was reorganized to meet the standards of the Western for half a century, Taisho started at that point. In the midst of change towards a modern feudalism or capitalism at the beginning of the Taisho time. it was so natural that there werethe conflicts between the tradition and western culture, between generations. "handkerchief" was publishedin october 1916 , "OKO Ron Chu (中央 公論)". It was exposed on the surface of the clash of traditional Japanese and Western civilization, so it is very appropriate for the time of the conflicts. In "Handkerchief", there were mixed & conflict feelings about Nishiyama (西山) wife of the dead and Hasegawa ginjo (長谷川 謹造), Tokyo Imperial University professor. And Mr. Hasegawa is to fall into chaos, due to his wife are absolutely not an act of Nishiyama replaced by Bushido, which are found similarities with the receiving part of the blame on the Western dramaturgy. In previous research, criticizing the ideology of the Bushido, despite the difference of real life and plays its similarity with through the folly of being Hasegawa teacher to worry criticized the Nitobe Inazō model is the teacher or revealed in conversation Nishiyama wife .
In this paper, I want to pay attention to the text description about the relationship between teacher and student Hasegawa. Hasegawa has a surface area of ​​academic teacher as well as students and seemed to look at the intimate thoughts and feelings. but actually he has no authenticity and disconnected communication. It shows that he wants to be cosmopolitan linking East and West. but, in the end, he does not have any identity, and shows his internal contradictions. But the teacher has a firm faith including the spirit of Bushido. He meets the body of Nishiyama. There is no good communications and emotions about the relationship between the teacher and his wife. butall the emotions are reset by showing the body of his wife. And Japanese lanterns is a crucial instrument of the night. The laterns used to have decorative features only, but lanterns recovers the original function, the light of the night. "Handkerchief" reveals the fiction and non-ethical individuals with feelings of pain and do not even look to see that the ideology of Bushido through the body of Mrs. Nishikawa. And human life and naturally through the actual matching glows bright lanterns highlight the feelings of an individual's body and its inner surface and is urging the serious troubles for them.
