북한강유역 서북한계 금속기의 출현과 전개과정 (Process of the Appearance and Development of the Northwestern Korean Metalware in the North Han River Basin)

초록

최근 남양주 금남리유적의 조사와 함께 가평 달전리유적 등 북한강유역 서북한계 분묘와 부장품이 다시 주목받고 있다. 본고는 북한강유역에서 확인되는 서북한계 분묘 부장품을 중심으로 상호 비교분석을 통해 그 등장시점과 전개과정을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 북한강유역 서북한계 분묘 부장품 중 금속기를중심으로 개별 분묘 간의 상호비교를 통해 상대적인 선후관계를 설정하고 그 연대를 비정하였다. 그리고 기원전 2~1세기대 금속기의 분포양상을 살피며, 북한강유역 서북한계 금속기의 출현배경과 삼한권역으로 전개과정을 추정하였다.
그 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 북한강유역의 금남리유적 2호묘와 달전리 2호묘에 부장된 금속기는낙랑군 설치 이전인 위만조선계 금속문화의 하나로 설정할 수 있다. 또한 기원전 2~1세기대 위만조선계 금속기의 분포양상이 서남해안의 큰 하천유역에서 출토된다는 점에 주목하여 북한강유역 역시 위만조선 단계부터 중도문화권 세력을 중심으로 한 지역거점집단과의 왕래가 있었고, 이러한 배경 속에서 서북한계 선진 문물이 등장하게 된다고 볼 수 있다.
더불어 북한강유역 서북한계 분묘의 금속기는 진한권역 금호강유역의 금속기와 유사성이 강한데, 쌍조형촉각식 검의 사례에 주목하여 이른 시기부터 내륙 교류 노선이 존재하였음을 추정하였다. 북한강유역과 금호강유역 간에 보이는 서북한계 물질문화의 공유는 낙랑군 설치 이전부터 위만조선과 삼한의 제지역이 양방의 다원적인 교류를 대표하는 사례일 수 있다.

영어초록

With the recent survey on the remains of Namyangju Geumnam-ri, the northwestern Korean tombs and burial goods in the north Han River basin including the remains in Daljeon-ri Gapyeong receive attention again. This paper presented the appearance background and the development process through the mutual comparative analysis by focusing on the northwestern Korean tombs and burial goods found in the north Han River basin. Accordingly, the relative order is set with the period comparatively determined through the mutual comparison among individual tombs by concentrating on the metalware of the northwestern Korean tombs and burial goods in the north Han River basin. Furthermore, the distribution aspect of the metalware in the second to first century B.C. was addressed, and the appearance background of the northwestern Korean metalware in the north Han River basin and the process of its development into the Three Hans were estimated.
The result is summarized as follows. The metalware buried in the Geumnam-ri remains no. 2 tomb and Daljeon-ri no. 2 tomb of the north Han River basin can be set as one of the Wiman Joseon’s metal culture before establishing Nakrang-gun. Moreover, considering that the distribution aspect of the Wiman Joseon’s metalware in the second to first century B.C. is confirmed from the excavation from the big river basin of the southwestern coast, the traffic with the regional hub group existed around the Chuncheon Jungdo remains in the North Han River basin from the Wiman Joseon stage with the northwestern Korean advanced civilization appearing in the background.
Furthermore, as the metalware of the northwestern Korean tomb in the North Han River basin is very similar to that of the Jinhan region of the Geumho River basin, it was estimated by focusing on the example of the twin-bird type antenna-shaped dagger that the inland exchange line existed early. The northwestern Korean material culture sharing appearing between the north Han River basin and the Geumho River basin can be the example representing the two-way pluralistic exchange between Wiman Joseon and the entire region of the Three Hans before the establishment of Nakrang-gun.
