두만강유역 초기철기문화의 변천과 연대 (The Transgression and Chronology of the Early Iron Age Culture on the Basin of the Duman River)

초록

한반도 동북한지역을 비롯하여 중국 동북지방 동남부, 연해주 중남부지역의 초기철기문화는 나무그루형(柱狀) 파수가 부착된 재지적인 적(흑)갈색계 무문토기의 소성·시루의 공반, 철제 생산도구의 미약, 마제석기의 성행 등으로 요약할 수 있다. 이 문화는 철기 및 쪽구들(온돌)의 계통문제, 한반도 중부지방 원삼국문화와의
관련성 문제와 연결되어 있어 최근 학계에서 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 하지만 지금까지 선행 연구자간 유적의 편년과 절대연대 비정에 있어 많은 이견을 보이고 있다. 특히 두만강유역 초기철기문화의 상한연대에 대해서는 연구자간에 최대 500년의 차이를 보이고 있어 시급히 해결해야 할 연구과제라 할 수 있다.
이러한 문제를 염두에 두고 이 글은 두만강유역 초기철기문화의 편년과 절대연대를 살펴보는데 목적을 두었다. 먼저 심발형토기, 대옹, 두형토기, 시루의 형식을 분류하고, 두만강중하류역권, 綏芬河流域圈, 동해안지역 등 각 지역별로 변천과정을 살펴보았다. 또한 지금까지 방사성탄소연대에 의해 실연대를 구하는 방법론의 문
제점을 지적하고, 그 대안으로 주변지역과의 병행관계를 검토하였다. 그 결과 두만강유역 초기철기문화의 상한연대는 청동기후기 柳庭洞類型의 하한연대, 長脚豆形土器의 출현양상을 통해서 기원전 4세기 말~3세기 중엽 이전으로 파악할 수 있었으며, 두만강유역 초기철기문화의 중심시기를 무산 호곡동 6기 출토 철기와 오수
전의 연대를 검토하여 기원전 2세기~1세기 중엽으로 보았다.
이러한 연구과정을 통해 두만강유역 초기철기문화는 청동기후기의 재지문화(柳庭洞類型)에 중국 燕의 철기문화가 파급되어 성립한 문화임을 다시 한번 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The early Iron Age culture around the southeastern area of the northeastern China and the central and southern Primorsky Kray area as well as the northeastern area of the Korean peninsula can be summarized as the baking of regional red(black) plain pottery with the handle in the shape of a trunk of
a tree, the accompaniment of earthenware steamers, the lack of the instrument for iron instrument production and the prevalence of polished stone instruments. This early Iron Age culture has recently come into spotlight since it is related with the issue of the system of iron instrument and ondol(jjoggeudeul, which means a partial heating ondol) and the issue of the connection with the culture of the Proto-three-kingdom culture of the central area of the Korean peninsula. However, there are so much different opinions among researchers in the dating and the calculation of the absolute age of remains so far. Particularly, there is a maximum difference of 500 years in the oldest age of the early Iron Age culture on the basin of the Duman river, so the controversy should be promptly solved.
Taking these issues into consideration, I aimed at the dating and the calculation of the absolute age of the early Iron Age culture on the Basin of the Duman river in this paper. First, I classified the forms of deep bawl, large jar, plain pottery with foot and earthenware steamer, and I reviewed the transgression of them by each region such as the middle and lower basin of the Duman river, the basin of Suifunhe[綏芬河], the east coast area and so on. In addition, I indicated the problem in the methodology of calculating the actual age by radiocarbon dating, and I suggested an alternative by the
comparison with the peripheral area. The result is as follows: The oldest age of the early Iron Age culture on the basin of the Duman river was from the end of the 4th century B.C. to the latter half of the 3rd century B.C as I calculated by the comparison with the youngest age of the Yujeo-dong[柳庭洞] type in the late Bronze age and the aspect of the appearance of plain pottery with long foot, and I dated the most brilliant era of the early Iron Age culture on the basin of the Duman river as from the 2nd century B.C to the middle of the 1st century (B.C.) as I reviewed the iron instrument and Wu-shu coin excavated from No.6 remains in Hogok-dong, Musan.
