돌 전후 영아의 통합 발달을 돕는 마우스 모양의 돌잡이 놀잇감 디자인 (A Design of Mouse-Shaped Doljabi Toy Helping Integrated Development of Infants of Around 1 Year Old)

초록

2016년 육아정책연구소의‘ 영유아의 사교육 노출 ’연구보고는 만 2세 아동의 35.5%가 한글, 영어 또는 창의 예술활동 등을 사교육으로 받는다고 한다. 영아는 이러한 강요된 선행교육이 아니라 놀이를 통해 성장하고 발달하는데 그중에서 영아용 놀잇감은 영아의 발달과정에 맞춘 통합적인 디자인 기획에 따라 놀이 행동에 큰 영향을 미친다. 이러한 연구배경 및 필요성으로 본 연구는 돌 전후 영아를 대상으로 하나의 마우스 모양의 놀잇감에서 4가지 영역(신체, 사회·정서, 인지, 언어)이 통합 발달되는 ‘ 돌잡이 놀잇감 디자인 ’을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌 연구 및 현황 조사, 전문가 인터뷰를 통한 두 차례의 디자인 수정보완 제작 및 검증단계로 진행한다. 첫째, 문헌 연구에서는 영아와 통합 발달, 영아의 놀잇감에 대해 파악하고 현황 조사에서는 통합 발달 놀잇감의 국내외 비교조사가 포함된다. 둘째, 디자인 제작 및 검증에서는 4명의 보육 교사와의 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 초기 디자인을 한 후 영아를 관찰한다. 셋째, 초기 디자인의 문제점을 보완하기 위해 4명의 디자인 전문가와 4명의 교사 인터뷰를 한다. 아울러 최종 디자인을 개발하고 영아의 재관찰을 통해 효과성을 검증한다. 그 결과, 본 연구는 한 개의 마우스 모양 놀잇감 디자인에서 영아의 신체, 사회·정서, 인지, 언어가 통합적으로 반응하고, 영아 놀이와의 유기적 관련성을 파악하였다. 끝으로 본 연구는 ' 제3차 어린이집 표준교육과정 ' 을 토대로 한 개의 놀잇감에서 돌 전후 영아의 통합 발달을 돕는 디자인 개발에 의의가 있다.

According to the study conducted and reported the“ Domestic Infants and Children Exposed to Private Education Programs ”in 2016 by the Korean Institute of Child Care and Education, approximately 35% of infants and children of less than 2 years of age were found taking private education programs for learning Korean or English language as well as cultivating creative activities for artistic presentation. Infants are growing by spontaneous plays rather than by enforced education. In this respect, the playthings resulted from the comprehensive design complying with the developmental process of infants affects the behaviors of infants in play greatly. This study intends for the development of a design of mouse-shaped Doljabi toy helping comprehensive development of the 4 domains (of physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and linguistic ones) of infants of around 1 year old. For this purpose, this study was organized to follow the stages of the bibliographic examination, investigations on current realities, focus group interview with experts, modification for two pilot designs, and validation thereof. Firstly, the comprehensive development of infants and the playthings for infants will be explored through bibliographic examinations. And then, the comparative investigations on domestic and overseas playthings particularly designed to help the comprehensive development of infants will be included in the survey designed to identify current realities thereof. Secondly, the 4 daycare experts currently working in domestic nurseries will be joining to the‘ Focus Group Interview ’to support the preparation and validation of the pilot designs of playthings through observations on the pilot usage of playthings by infants. Finally, the additional 4 design experts will also be invited to the focus group interviews with the 4 experts of daycare to finalize the design of mouse-shaped plaything for infants. The use of developed plaything by infants will also be re-observed to determine the final effectiveness of the design of plaything. As a result, the design of plaything developed in this study was found systematically and associated with the physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and linguistic development of infants integratively. This study would be significant in that the design of plaything that could help the integrated development of infants of around 1 year old was developed according to‘ The 3rd Standard Curriculum for Daycare Nurseries ’.
