한국 현대시에 나타난 서학적(西學的) 자연관 -윤동주와 김종삼의 시를 중심으로- (A Study on View of Nature in Seohak(西學) Shown in Korea's Modern Poetry - Centering on Poems in Yun Dong-ju and Kim Jong-sam)

초록

When mentioning nature in Korea's modern poetry, two kinds of attributive expressions are being preceded. One is a word called 'traditional.' Another is a word called 'modern.' The symbolic meaning in this expression relies on what divides the property in Korea's modern poetry into ‘tradition orientation’ and ‘foreign orientation.’ However, these two layers, which have 'nature' as medium, are crossed each other. Given that the former is focusing on the religious view of nature, the latter is concentrated on the philosophical view of nature. Given the former addressed a problem about God and nature, the latter addressed a problem about a human being and nature.
At a spot that these two perspectives were deviated, this study addressed a problem about God, a human being, and nature targeting poems in Yun Dong-ju and Kim Jong-sam. 'A view of nature in Seohak(西學)' has a merit that can transcend the modernity, which had been neglected from the traditional view of nature, and the religious reason, which had been overlooked from the modern view of nature. Especially, the view of nature, which is revealed in poems of Yun Dong-ju and Kim Jong-sam, is showing consistency in our ecological life while passing the Japanese colonial period and the period before and after the war. In other words, our life today is shown to exist in the ecological relationship that God, a human being, and nature coexist together.
