인간중심치료에서의 신체를 통한 공감에 대한 고찰

이 연구는 인간중심치료에서 나타나는 치료사의 신체적인 공감의 중요성에 관하여 강조하고 있다. 신체적인 공감은 치료사의 태도와 연관되며, 내담자의 현상학적 체험과 반응을 드러낼 수 있는 유기체적인 매개수단이 된다. 이 연구의 서두에서는 인간중심치료에서 나타나는 치료사의 태도는 신체적인 움직임으로 나타나며, 이는 치료사의 존재 방식이 된다는 점을 밝히고 있다. 본론에서는, 인간중심치료에서 적용되는 공감의 주체를 신체라고 주장하고 있으며, 이를 이해하기 위해 Laban의 동작분석법 중 신체부분을 방법론으로 적용해야 함을 강조하고 있다. 또한, 신체적인 공감과 반영의 방법으로 Kestenberg의 조율과 조정에 대하여 검토하고 있다. 결론적으로, 그간 신체에 대한 이해와 그 효과에 관하여 강조되어온 분야는 신체심리치료와 무용/동작치료에 국한되어 왔지만, 인간중심치료에서도 치료사의 태도를 신체적인 관점에서 이해하고 공감과 반영의 방법론으로 적용해야 한다는 점을 주장하고 있다.

초록

This is a critical discussion to emphasis therapist's body attitudes for the phenomenal experience and responses of clients. The therapist's body attitudes as a major tool in the person centered therapy, that should reflect clients' consensus to state of environmental condition. At first, this article emphases importance of therapist's body attitude that are main tools to deliver an intention. For the more, a part of body attitude in the Laban's Movement Analysis is used to explain ways of understanding the body that should be an important notion of therapist's existence being. Finally, the Kestenberg' terms and consensus technique is introduced as a methodology to deliver therapist's empathy. A discussion for therapist's body attitude will help to understand a value of body that has been considered as an important tool of body psychotherapy and dance/movement therapy.
