초록

본 연구는 웹기반 학습환경에서 인터페이스 메타포(metaphor) 구조가 학업성취와 인터페이스의 사용편의생에 어떤 영향올 주며， 또한 학습내용 제시 방법이 학습자의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 확인하고자 하였다.이를 위해 인터헤이스 메타포(metaphor) 성계 방법에 대한 선행 연구들올 고찰하여 인터페이스에 적용할 메타포를 통합 메타포와 복합 메타포로 션쩡하였고 이를 바탕으로 3가지의 인터헤아스를 채발하였다. 총 69명의 성인 학습자를 패상으로 셰 가지 유형의 메타포 구조를 적용한 웹기반 학습 프로그랩으로 학습하게 한 다음 그 결과를 바교하였다.제안된 인터페여스 메타포 구조에 따른 효과를 검증한 결과， 인터패이스에 척용한 메타포 구조는 학업성취에 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 그러나， 인터페이스 사용 편의성， 정보개}시 방법에 대한 만족도는 인터페이스 집단간에 차이가 없었다. 본 연구는 웹기반 학습환경에서 사용하는 인터페이스는 메타포 구조와 같은 구조적 셜채 방법론의 적용에 대한경험척 근거를 제시했다는 점에 의의가 있다고 볼 수 있다.

In the web-base:! learning environment, learner interacts program contents with user interlace.An user interlace needs ease of use and effective browsing for learning.The purposes of this study are to examine the effeclivenes:; of user interface metaphoron learner's performance and attitude in web-bared learning environment under three conditions..In order to test the effectiveness of user interface metaphor structure, three webbase::!learning environments were devised. The content of three web-based learning environmentswere same the programs, but were only in different user interlace metaphor.An user interface might be applied on the basis of two metaphor structures: integralmetaphor and composite metaphor. Two integral metaphor and one composite metaphorwere developed. One integral metaphor version applied video base metaphor well-mappedtarget metaphor. Another integral metaphor version applied OOok base metaphor for wellmapprotarget metaphor. A composite metaphor version used typical metaphor being commonin the romputer-based learning program.To test the hypotheses, 69 students and teachers from undergraduate and primary schoolswere sampled. After learning the subject of programs, they were immediately given thepost test about performance, satisfaction of interface usability and attitude of the presentationme1hod and help function which given by programs. The {X)St test data were analyzedusing an analysis of variance(ANOVA).Maj:Jr findings of this study may be surrunarized as follows.First, there was a statistically significant difference (p<.05) in the user interfaoe metaphorstructure. Second, the u ser interlace was not confirmed the satisfaction of interlace us­ability and presentation method, help function which given the web-base::! learning environmenLThe user interlace metaphor structure was effected about ease of interface, so it must designed according to learner prior knowledge and well-known knowledge domain.In this study, the empirical evidences for using metaphor in the user interface and the interfacedesign strategies such as application of metaphor structure were suggested. Thisstudy is only an initial attempt to solve the problem of ease of use of the user interface inweb-based learning environmenl New ways of designing user interface may generate otherusability solving strategies of which researchers may not be aware.
