좋은 자막에 대한 분석과, 비슷한 점을 가지고 있는 두 영화 <캡틴아메리카:시빌워>와 <스파이더맨:홈커밍>을 분석한 고등학생 과제입니다.
자막 번역의 역할은 요즘 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 먼저 인터넷 접속이 증가함에 따라, 청중들의 사전 지식도 증가하고 있다. 대중들은 옛날보다 훨씬 더 자주 자막에 대한 비판을 가하고, 이에 따라 자막에 대한 논란 역시 증가하고 있다. 2016년에는<수어사이드 스쿼드>의 예고편 자막에 대한 보이콧이 화제였다. '박지훈'이라는 이름의 번역가가 여성 혐오 단어를 사용했기 때문이다. 이런 현상은 매우 새로운 일인데, 왜냐하면 보이콧은 영화가 아닌 자막만을 위한 것이었기 때문이다.이런 종류의 논쟁은 사람들에게 익숙하지 않았지만, 점점 흔해 지고 있다.

a. Introduction
The role of subtitle translation is rapidly increasing these days. As the access to internet grows, audience’s prior knowledges are increasing, too. They criticize subtitles much more frequently, controversies about subtitles are increasing. In 2016, boycott to a subtitle of <Suicide Squad> was the topic. Because translater Park Jihoon used misogynyc wording. It is very new thing, because the boycott was for only subtitle, not a movie. <Nice guys> with translater Lee Jinyoung was on the topic in bad ways, because of its liberal translation, too. This kind of controversy is not familiar to people. But these are becoming common.
b. Purpose of study
Translation is an important task that determines the context and meaning of the whole film. But, there are many inapposite film subtitles. Cognizing good subtitle and bad subtitle is easy, but knowing why they are good and bad is hard. So I will find conditions of good movie subtitle and actual analysing specific movies.
