I.
Without a doubt, when you graduate your college, you might be full of hopes and dreams starting your new life. To satisfy your highly expected goal, you are going to search for your job in your fanciful field. Soon, you become devastated and discouraged facing the real world. This is probably common to anyone who ever has experienced finding a job in their life time. The movie Reality Bites is mainstream offerings illustrated the various reasons of unemployment with regard to emphasizing the overly hyped ‘Generation X’ phenomenon and its certain situation in reality. Overall plot goes by displaying young people struggling to fight against the ‘reality’ brought upon them and their relationships while looking for the meaning of life. In this point of view, I believe we can observe the several causes of unemployment examining which situation the characters face to and how the economic structure is in that time period.

Reality Bites (1994) is a film written by Helen Childress and featuring the directorial debut of Ben Stiller. The film focuses on four friends who are recent college graduates searching for job, yet, frustrated by the recession-wracked job market of the early ‘90s.
