As the number of households living along has gradually increases, the demand for small-sized houses is increasing, The purpose of this study is to identify the housing situation and the housing needs of one person household and suggest the direction of small-sized housing development. Based on the results of this study, It is important to select a convenient location for transportation and living and it is desirable to develop it in combination with general households considering the social relations such as loneliness and isolation. It is necessary to provide adequate housing that can bear the burden of housing cost considering the economic aspect and quality of residential environment. Apartment type was preferred for housing type. The size of the house was 30-60m2, 60-85m2, and 2LDK flat type was preferred. There is a high demand for indoor environment such as ventilation, noise, air conditioning and heating. The demand for the size of space was higher than the composition and arrangement of space. It is necessary to provide a combination of facilities and programs that combine housing and services that can support everyday housework and work-life balance.
