수도권 생태유아공동체 농촌체험활동의 특성과 유아교육적 의미 (Characteristics and singficance of rural experience activities in eco-early childhood cooperatives in the metropolitan area)

초록

본 연구는 수도권 생태유아공동체 농촌체험활동의 특성과 의미를 살펴보는 것이다. 본 연구를 위한 자료수집은 수도권 생태유아공동체의 회의록을 수집하고, 2011년 4월부터 10월까지 진행된 농촌체험활동을 참여관찰하였으며, 및 수도권 생태유아공동체 실무자, 유아와 교사, 농민을 대상으로 면담하였고, 수집된 자료는 문화기술분석법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과 수도권 생태유아공동체 농촌체험활동은 농촌문화의 이해 및 먹을거리의 소중함에 대한 인식을 목적으로 유아교육기관의 요구와 농촌마을의 특성, 계절 및 절기를 고려하여 다양한 활동으로 농촌체험활동의 내용을 구성하였고, 유아교육기관과 실무자들에 의해 평가를 진행하고 있었다. 수도권 생태유아공동체 농촌체험활동의 유아교육적 의미를 유아와 성인의 입장에서 살펴 본 결과 유아들은 자연과 농촌을 사랑하게 되었으며, 교사와 실무자를 포함한 성인은 농촌체험활동의 목적달성과 생태적 감수성이 회복되는 행복을 경험하게 되었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 양질의 농촌체험활동을 위한 유아교육기관과 실무자, 농촌마을의 상호협력과 교류의 필요성 및 유아 체험교육의 중요성을 제안하는 바이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics and significance of rural experience activities in eco-early childhood cooperatives in the metropolitan area. The minutes of the eco-early childhood cooperatives meetings in a metropolitan area were collected and analtzed. . Observations of participants were conducted while the eco-early childhood cooperatives provided rural experience activities from April through October 2011. Hands-on workers of the eco-early childhood cooperatives, preschoolers, teachers, and farmers were interviewed. The data were analyzed via ethnographic methods. The results indicated that early childhood education institutions, eco-early childhood cooperatives, and rural communities were involved in every process during these activities. Moreover, the goal of the rural experience activities was to understand rural culture and acknowledge the preciousness of food. The rural experience activities consisted of a wide variety of activities that took into consideration the needs of the early childhood education institutions, characteristics of the rural villages, season, and specific time of the season. The early childhood education institutions and the hands-on workers evaluated the experience activities. The results of their evaluations were reflected in subsequent planned activities. The preschoolers who engaged in the rural experience activities had the opportunity to cherish nature and learn about rural communities. Moreover, the teachers were able to achieve their objectives and reported feeling happy about regaining ecological sensitivity. The findings of the study suggested that early childhood education institutions, hands-on workers, and rural communities work together for high quality rural experience activities and experience activities was very important of early childhood education.
