초록

2000년대 이후 시조 문학은 1990년대를 경유하면서 당대 테크놀로지를 반영한 삶의 체험을 문학적으로 대응해 나갔다. 이에 시조단은 다층적인 형식의 개방과 시형의 변화, 갱신을 거듭해 오면서 전통과 현대가 섞여 현대적 고전의 테제로서 존재한다. 이는 시조를 보편적 가치로 이끌고 있다는 점에서 문학사에서 유의미한 일이며 지난 세기 동안 형식 논쟁을 통해 지배적인 가치와 담론을 다원적으로 수렴했기 때문이다. 거기에 21세기 테크놀로지 시대를 표상하는 하이브리드 경향을 가진 시조의 등장은 2000년대 시조 문학사의 중심에서 새로운 영역을 개척했다.
이에 본고는 2000년대 이후 현대시조에 나타난 하이브리드적인 경향의 시조를 탐색하고자 한다. 전통성에 가치를 두고 고유한 문화를 발전시켜 온 하이브리드 시조는 시대에 대한 도전과 존재 탐구라는 점에서 광의적으로 여민 의식의 현시로서 산출된다. 거기에 현대시조가 나아가야 할 새로운 방향을 제시하는데 민족이라는 불변의 동질화를 통해 연대 의식으로 진화해 온 결과로서 존립할 수 있었다.
모든 문화가 순수한 의미에서 원형 그대로 보존되거나 존속할 수 없듯이 하이브리드 문화는 과거와 현재가 섞이는 과정에서 미래로 나아가며 생겨난 시단의 경향이다. 하이브리드 시조는 서로 융합되고 공존하며 전이되고 반복되면서 새로운 문화를 창출하며 새로운 의식을 추구하는 개념으로 작용한다. 이는 다양한 현상들이 혼합되는 하이브리드 미학으로, 환경의 변화에 따라서 당대 문화의 주체들이 본질적으로 간과해서는 안 되는 시대적 함의 속에서 창출된 미학으로 존재한다. 하이브리드 미학으로 살펴볼 2000년대 이후 현대시조는 시공간을 넘어서 전통의 함의와 고전의 수용을 통해 끊임없이 형식과 내용의 변화를 거듭하여 오면서 생겨난 시대 의식이라고 할 수 있다.
살펴볼 2000년대 이후 현대시조에 구현된 하이브리드 시조의 탐구 시조 시인으로 배경희(1967~), 서정화(1977~), 김태경(1980~)을 중심으로 파악하고자 한다. 이들의 공통점은 2000년대 이후 등단한 여성 시인으로서 본고에서 논의할 하이브리드 문학의 특징을 면면이 가지고 있다. 게다가 존재들의 다원성과 다층적 사고관, 그리고 다문화적인 세계관에 의해 시조를 창작하고 있다는 점이다.
논의할 시조 시인들의 시편에서 하이브리드를 의미하는 혼종성, 혼성성, 교차성, 혼합성과 같은 시대를 구현하고 있는 시조를 분류하여 현실 존재 양상으로 파악하고자 한다. 시대의 담론적 측면에서 문명적인 것과 유전적인 것 그리고 유목적인 것과 생태적인 것으로 살펴보았다. 이같이 2000년대 이후 여성 시조를 텍스트로 한 연구 방법을 정리하자면 첫째, 문명적 혼종성을 통해 정보적 기능으로 둘째, 유전적 혼성성을 가진 재생적 기억으로 셋째, 유목적 교차성을 통해 변증적 사고로 넷째, 생태적 혼합성을 가진 폐허적 인식으로 하이브리드 시조를 탐구하고자 한다.

영어초록

After the 2000s, Sijo literature, passing through the 1990s, began to reflect the contemporary technological reality and respond to life's experiences through literature. As a result, Sijo poetry has evolved with multi-layered structures, changes, and innovations in its form over the years, blending tradition and modernity, and now existing as a contemporary classic. This marks a significant development in literary history, as it guides Sijo towards universal values. Over the past century, it has embraced dominant values and discourses through various formal debates. Furthermore, the emergence of hybrid Sijo representing the 21st- century technology era has opened up new horizons in the landscape of Sijo literature in the 2000s.
This paper aims to explore hybrid Sijo that emerged in modern Sijo poetry after the 2000s. Hybrid Sijo, which values tradition and has nurtured its unique culture, serves as a broad expression of contemporary consciousness, emphasizing the challenges and exploration of existence in this era. Moreover, it has managed to coexist by evolving into a sense of solidarity through the continuous homogenization of the nation, presenting a new direction for the progression of modern Sijo.
Originally, just as no culture can be preserved or perpetuated in its purest form, hybrid culture is a trend in which tradition and the present blend while moving towards the future. Hybrid Sijo serves as a concept where cultures merge, coexist, transition, and repeat, giving rise to new cultures and pursuing fresh consciousness. It exists as an aesthetic that emerges from the mixing of diverse phenomena, within the context of the temporal implications that contemporary culture participants must not fundamentally overlook in response to changing environments. Modern Sijo after the 2000s, when examined through the lens of hybrid aesthetics, can be considered a contemporary consciousness that continually emerges through the acceptance of tradition and the ongoing evolution of form and content, transcending both time and space.
I aim to explore hybrid Sijo poetry in modern Sijo literature that has emerged after the 2000s, with a focus on the poets Back Kyonghee (1967~), Seo Jeonghwa (1977~), and Kim Taekyung (1980~). What they have in common is that they are female poets who made their debut after the 2000s. In this paper, I intend to examine various aspects of the characteristics of hybrid literature, which will be discussed. This examination will also encompass the diversity of their existence, their multifaceted perspectives, and their creation of Sijo influenced by multicultural worldviews.
I intend to categorize Sijo within the poems of the Sijo poets under discussion, which embody contemporary characteristics such as hybridity, inclusiveness, intersectionality, and mixing, with the goal of understanding them as reflections of real-life existence. From a discursive perspective, I have analyzed them in terms of civilization and genetics, nomadism and ecology. In this manner, when summarizing the research approach focused on female Sijo poets after the 2000s, we can delineate four key aspects: firstly, through civilizational hybridity as an informative function; secondly, via genetic inclusiveness marked by generative memory; thirdly, by means of nomadic crossbreeding as a form of dialectical thinking; and finally, through ecological blending imbued with a sense of desolation, I aim to explore the realm of hybrid Sijo.
