조선영화 “홍길동전”과 한국 드라마 “쾌도 홍길동전” 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of the DPRK’s Film BiographyofHongGildongand the ROK’s TV Play HongGildong)

초록

Before 1945, the cultural heritage was mutually belonged to North Koreaand South Korea, while in the background of DPRK and ROK in the current situation, the ideas and explanations and some recreations of works of the classical literature between the two countries distinct with each passing day. From some aspects, the DPRK’s film Biography of Hong Gildong and the ROK’s TV play Hong Gildong typically demonstrate the circumstance. The two dissimilar techniques of the two dramas which have an identical theme of the classic literature illustrate the differences of manifestation modes of the two dramas. Generally speaking, these two dramas are both commendable examples for comparative literature research. However, neither of themis from the angle of comparative literature which is regretful.
The essay conducts a comparison between the two dramas from a specific research perspective and makes an investigation of the similarities and distinctiveness of them. This essay takes Hong Gildong-progenitor of He Kyunasan reference, compares the differences of the two dramas on the basis of explanations of the different ways of introducing and elaborating Hong Gildong by DPRK and ROK and studies the South Korean fad in China and the different transmission modes of the DPRK’s and ROK’s education development and prosperity reflected by the two dramas from the modification aesthetics angle. The Film Biography of Hong Gildong and the TV play Hong Gildong are generated in two contrasting social environment, the former in the socialism and the latter in the capitalism. From the study, we can find the different views and conveying methods for the same theme of the classic literature from the two contrasting social systems.
