유·초 연계교육의 국내 실천 동향 분석 (Analysis of Practicing Domestic Trends in Continuity between Preschool and Elementary Education)

초록

본 연구는 유·초 연계교육의 국내 실천 동향을 살펴보고 앞으로 진행될 이음교육을 향한 추후 과제가 무엇인지 확인하기 위해 실시하였다. 연구대상은 유아를 대상으로 유·초 연계교육을 실천하거나 교사 및 부모를 실제로 지원한 56개 유·초 연계교육 실천 사례이다. 본 연구는 내용분석방법을 활용하여 분석 자료에 제시된 텍스트를 살펴본 후, 범주별 빈도를 산출하고 사례를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, ‘교육과정 실행을 통한 유·초 연계교육’이 66회로 가장 많이 나타났고, 상대적으로 보육교사 대상 연수 1회, 보육교사 대상 협의회 0회, 부모 대상 협의회 1회로 가장 적게 나타났다. 둘째, 교육과정 실행 측면에서 진행된 유·초 연계교육은 전이 주체인 유아가 스스로 초등학교를 탐색해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공하지만 일회성 체험 활동이 대부분이며 학습준비도 관점에서 문해력 및 학습도 강조하였다. 교사 및 부모 역량 강화 측면에서 진행된 유·초 연계교육은 교육과정 이해에 초점을 두고 있어 연수 내용이 단조롭고, 협의회는 유치원 교사 중심으로 진행되거나 취학 전·후 부모의 일회성 만남으로 진행되었다. 교육환경 조성 측면에서 진행된 유·초 연계교육은 공동공간 및 초등학교 1학년 교실 내 놀이공간을 구성하고 새로운 통합학교를 개설하였지만 기존 사립유치원 및 어린이집과의 연계를 시도한 경우가 부족하였다. 연구결과를 통해 유아의 주체성이 반영된 유·초 연계교육 실행과 지역사회 자원을 활용하고 다양한 유아의 특성을 지원하는 유·초 연계교육 실천 사례 발굴을 제언하였다.

This study was conducted to examine the domestic practicing trends of continuity between preschool and elementary education, and to confirm what future tasks will be for leum education in the future. The subjects of this study are 56 cases of continuity between preschool and elementary education practices for young children, and supporting teachers and parents on continuity between preschool and elementary education. In this study, the text presented in the analysis data was examined using the content analysis method, and then the frequency by category was calculated and cases were analyzed. As a result of the study, first, "continuity between preschool and elementary education practices through curriculum implementation" was the most common with 66 times, and relatively the least with 0 training for childcare teachers, 0 conference for childcare teachers, and 1 conference for parents. Second, in terms of curriculum implementation, continuity between preschool and elementary education provides an opportunity for young children to explore elementary schools on their own, but most of them are one-time experience activities, and literacy and learning were also emphasized from the perspective of learning readiness. In terms of strengthening teachers and parents' capabilities, continuity between preschool and elementary education focuses on understanding the curriculum, and the conference was primarily centered on kindergarten teachers or was conducted as a one-time meeting between parents before and after school. In terms of creating an educational environment, continuity between preschool and elementary education formed a common space and a play space in the classroom of the first grade of elementary school and opened a new integrated school, but there were few attempts to link it with existing private kindergartens and daycare centers. Through the results, the study suggests the implementation of continuity between preschool and elementary education that reflects the subjectivity of young children, and the discovery of cases of continuity between preschool and elementary education that utilize community resources and support various young children's characteristics.
