《四聲通解》에 반영된 近代漢語 陽聲韻의 변화 (A Research of the Modern Mandarin Nasal rhyme on the 《Sasongtonghae(四聲通解)》)

Domestic and foreign scholars all agree to the fact that Korean and Chinese transliteration from the early Joseon Dynasty offers relatively significant and direct tips for constructing the actual transliteration of Chinese language during the Won-myeong(元⋅明) period than any other references do.
As to the history of developments on Chinese Language, the Modern Chinese plays a role as a bridge between the Ancient Chinese and the Present Chinese. It would be impossible to fully understand the Present Chinese Language without an adequate amount of study on the Modern Chinese. Plus, since the period of the modern Chinese was when the most of basic transliteration in the present Chinese were featured, numerous linguists are expecially interested in it.
It cannot be denied that the Korean and Chinese transliteration from the Joseon Dynasty, written in phonogram,has been contributed greatly to researches on phonetic values of the actual transliteration at that period. And, the Korean and Chinese transliteration is also known to help the academia overcome the limitation of Chinese traditional phonology. The researches on Chinese traditional phonology would have relied on the elementary recording system of the transliteration only, if the Korean and Chinese transliteration has not been existed. The only recording systems that the linguists were able to refer to,except the documents on the transliteration, were Fanqie phonetic notation(反切) from Rhyme book(韻書) and Rhyme chart(韻圖).
Amongst all, 《Sa-seong-tong-hae(四聲通解)》, the unique Woon-seo of the Joseon Dynasty, is the most valuable source since it contains personal views of Joseon phonologists toward the Chinese phonemes.
The study is showing the transliteration system of Mandarin and the actual phonetic values in Chinese language, which have been reflected in 《Sa-seong-tong-hae(四聲通解)》. The research has been carried out good enough by looking at documents on the transliteration, such as Jeong-eum(正音), Sok-eum(俗音) and Keum-sok-eum(今俗音). Since the properties of the transliteration recording, like certain methods and principles on recording the transliteration, were particularly considered during the research.
In other words, because it was not only on morphological characteristics of the transliteration recording, the study ended up with more objective and reasonable conclusions.
