창업가의 기업가정신이 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 외부지원 유용성의 매개효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mediating Effect of Usefulness of External Support in the Relationship between Entrepreneurship and Business Performance)

초록

[연구목적] 기업에 대한 외부지원의 규모는 매년 확장되는 가운데 자원의 효율적 배분과 외부 지원의 유한성 측면에서 보다 효과적이고 효율적인 기업 외부 지원에 대한 고찰이 요구된다. 또한 창업가의 기업가정신은경영성과 뿐만 아니라 다양한 외부지원에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 이해, 그리고 기업가정신이 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 관계에서 외부지원 유용성의 간접효과를 파악할 수 있을 때 보다 효과적인 외부지원의 유형에 선택과 집중을 할 수 있는 정책을 마련할 수 있기에 본 연구에서는 기업가정신과 경영성과, 그리고 외부지원유용성의 관계에 대해 실증 검증하였다.
[연구방법] 창업가 247명을 대상으로 2021년 7월부터 11월까지 4개월간 설문조사를 실시하였고, AMOS 프로그램을 통해 확인적 요인분석을 실시하여 집중타당성과 판별타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 SPSS 프로그램을활용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였고 Hayes의 Process Model 4를 통해 간접효과를 파악하였다.
[연구결과] 실증분석 결과 기업가정신은 경영성과와 외부지원 가운데 교육, 기술, 멘토링 지원의 유용성에긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 외부지원 중 기술, 교육, 자금, 멘토링 지원 등이 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 기업가정신과 경영성과에서 외부지원 유용성의 매개효과는 기각되었지만 외부지원의하위 요소 중 교육과 기술지원의 유용성을 채택된 반면, 자금과 멘토링 지원의 유용성의 매개효과는 기각되었다.
[연구의 시사점] 본 연구는 기업가정신의 기능과 역할에 대해 외부지원과 연계하여 검증했다는데 의의가 있다. 또한 다양한 외부지원이 경영성과에 미치는 영향력 그리고 다양한 외부지원 가운데 매개효과를 보이는 지원요소 확인을 통해 보다 효과적이고 효율적인 외부지원이 무엇인지에 대해 검증했다는 점에서 시사점이 있다.

영어초록

[Purpose] As the scale of external support for companies expands every year, it is necessary to consider what external support for companies is more effective and efficient in terms of efficient distribution of resources and the finiteness of external support. In addition, when it is possible to understand how an entrepreneur's entrepreneurship affects not only business performance but also various external supports, and to identify the indirect effect of the usefulness of external support in the relationship between entrepreneurship and business performance, more effective external support can be provided. Accordingly, this study empirically verified the relationship between entrepreneurship, business performance, and the usefulness of external support.
[Methodology] A survey was conducted on 247 entrepreneurs for 4 months from July to November 2021, and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted through the AMOS program. In addition, regression analysis was conducted using the SPSS program, and indirect effects were identified through Hayes' Process Model 4.
[Findings] Empirical analysis results showed that entrepreneurship had a positive effect on business performance and the usefulness of education, technology, and mentoring support among external supports.
In addition, it was confirmed that among external supports, technology, education, funding, and mentoring support had a positive effect on business performance. Lastly, the mediating effect of the usefulness of external support on entrepreneurship and business performance was rejected, but among the sub-elements of external support, the usefulness of education and technical support was adopted, while the mediating effect of the usefulness of funding and mentoring support was rejected.
[Implications] This study has academic implications in that it verified the functions and roles of entrepreneurship in connection with external support. In addition, there are practical implications in that it has verified the effect of various external supports on business performance and what is a more effective and efficient external support by identifying support elements that have a mediating effect among various external supports.
