심리치유 관점에서 본 유식30송과 아들러 개인심리학 비교 연구 (A Comparative A comparative analysis between the Thirty Vesis of Consciousness Only and Alder’s psychotherapy methods)

초록

본 논문은 알아차림에 주목하여 심리치유 관점에서 유식(唯識)30송과 아들러 개인심리학을 비교 연구하였다. 본 논문의 목적은 인간의 마음을 논리적이며 구조적으로 설명한 유식30송과 사회적이고 목적론적인 관점에서 인간을 이해한 아들러 개인심리학을 비교 분석하여 추후 서양과 동양의 심리분석 연구에 초석이 되고자 함이다. 본 연구는 현장(玄奘) 역(譯)의 『유식삼십론송(唯識三十論頌)』원전과 아들러 개인심리학의 기본 이론을 바탕으로 분석하였다. 그 중에서 유식19송과 아들러 초기기억 이론을 심리치유 관점에서 바라보고 상관관계를 전개하였다. 의식과 무의식의 차원에서 유식19송은 무의식의 아뢰야식 종자가 드러날 때 알아차림을 하면 종자가 개량되어 다시 저장되는 과정에서 치유될 수 있다고 본다. 그러나 초기기억 재해석은 자신만의 생활양식을 신념처럼 믿고 살아가는 사람들이 고통스러울 때 의식 차원에서 트라우마의 병리적 현상을 치유하기 때문에, 그 둘의 심리치유 방법은 비슷해 보이지만 본질적으로 차이가 있다. 유식30송과 아들러 개인심리학은 개인의 경험이 주관적으로 구성된다고 본다. 두 이론 모두 독립적이 아니라 유기적 관계에 의한 연기이며 있는 그대로 보려 한다는 면에서 유사하다. 그러나 유식은 오온의 연기에 의해서 사람의 마음이 시작되고 치유되는 과정을 자연스러운 현상으로 바라보는 반면에 아들러는 어릴 때 형성된 잘못된 신념이 고통을 유발하는 병리적 현상으로 바라본다. 이처럼 유식30송의 불교 심리학과 아들러의 서양 심리학은 관점과 해석으로 심리치유 방법과 이해가 다르다는 것을 알 수 있다.

영어초록

This study focuses on awareness and conducted a comparative analysis between the Thirty Vesis of Consciousness Only and Adler’s Psychology from a psychotherapy perspective. The Thirty Vesis of Consciousness Only is suggested to logically explain the heart of men while Alfred Alder’s psychology is said to understand humans comprehensively from a social and teleological perspective. The study’s comparative analysis between the Thirty Verses of Consciousness Only and Alfred Alder’s psychology will become the cornerstone of future psychological analysis. This study was analysed based on the original book of 『Thirty Vesis of Consciousness Only』 by Hyun-Jang and the basic theory of Alder’s psychology. Among them, Nineteen Vesis of Consciousness Only and Alder’s early recollection theory was viewed from the perspective of psychological healing and a correlation was developed. At the level of consciousness and unconsciousness, Nineteen Vesis of Consciousness suggests that as the memory seeds are revealed (Bijas), awareness appears and psychological healing occurs as the memory seeds are saved. However, the reinterpretation of early recollections only heals an individual’s pathological phenomenon of trauma at the level of consciousness when individuals strictly live according to their lifestyle and become distressed and are in pain. Due to this, the two psychological healing methods can appear similar, but it is important to note that they are essentially different. Thirty Vesis of Consciousness and Alder’s psychology are subjectively constructed based on personal experience. Both theories are not independent, however, are similar in that they are acting based on organic relationship. However, Consciousness views the starting and healing process of a person’s mind as panca khandha while Alder perceives that false beliefs formed in childhood cause pathological phenomena pain. As such, it can be seen that the method and understanding of psychological healing are different from the viewpoint and interpretation of Buddist psychology of Thirty Vesis of Consciousness and the western psychology of Adler.
