실시간 화상영어 교과의 문제점 분석 및 ERRC 가치혁신 전략 연구: A 대학을 중심으로 (A Study on the Analysis of Problems in Real-time Online English Subject and ERRC Value Innovation Strategy: Focusing on University A)

초록

목적 본 연구는 글로벌 인재로서 갖추어야 할 핵심 역량인 글로벌 역량을 함양시키기 위하여 고안된 실시간 화상영어 교과를 운영하 면서 발생한 문제점을 분석하고 이에 대한 해결방안을 ERRC 프레임워크를 적용하여 최종 실시간 화상영어 교과의 가치혁신 전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
방법 이를 위해 A 대학에서 실시하는 실시간 화상영어 교과에 참여한 학생 315명을 대상으로 본 조사 1단계 설문조사와 2단계 참여 학생 9인의 심층 면담을 통해 문제점을 분석하여 ERRC 프레임워크를 도출하였다. 결과 분석 단계에서는 전문가 10인의 심층 면담 을 통해 ERRC 전략에 대한 타당성을 검증받아 최종적인 ERRC 가치혁신 전략을 도출하였다.
결과 연구결과 수업 요소에 대해서는 회화 능력 향상, 수업 평가와 결과에 대해 불만이 있는 것으로 나타났고 특히, 수업 환경 요소에 서는 수업 매체 접속과 전반적인 사용에 대해 높은 불만족이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 해결방안으로 제거 요소로는 ‘학교 컴퓨터실에서 직접 수강해야 하는 지침 삭제’, 증가 요소로는 ‘원어민 교수진의 피드백 강화’ 등 4개의 가치 전략이 도출되었다. 감소 요소로는 ‘강의실 컴퓨터 장애/오류 감소’, 창조 요소로는 ‘고도화된 수업 매체 시스템 개발’ 등 6개의 가치 전략이 도출되었다. 결론 본 연구는 교육 전문가와 조직 운영자들에게 교육의 문제를 교수법과 같은 교수자의 문제로만 해결하려는 것이 아닌 조직의 환경적인 측면까지 고려하여 문제를 분석하고 이에 대한 해결방안을 ERRC 프레임워크를 적용하여 도출하였다는 점에 의의가 있 다. 이렇게 도출된 가치혁신 전략은 학생들의 글로벌 역량 증진을 위해 실질적이면서 창조적인 문제 해결방안으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영어초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems that occurred while operating real-time online English subject designed to improve English communication skills, which are essential competencies for global talents, and to propose a final value innovation strategy by applying the ERRC framework.
Methods To this end, the ERRC framework was derived by analyzing problems through a survey in the first stage of this survey targeting 315 students who participated in a real-time online English subject conducted at a university A and through in-depth interviews with 9 participating students in the second stage. In the result analysis stage, the validity of the ERRC strategy was verified through in-depth interviews with 10 experts, and the final ERRC value innovation strategy was derived.
Results As a result of the study, it was found that students were dissatisfied with the improvement of their conversation skills and the evaluation and results of classes, and in particular, they were highly dissatisfied with the access to class media and overall use of class environment factors. As a solution to this, four value strategies were derived: ‘deletion of guidelines that must be taken directly in the school computer room’ as a removal factor, ‘reinforcement of feedback from native-speaking professors’ as an increasing factor. As a reduction factor, ‘reduction of classroom computer failures/errors’ was derived, and as a creative factor, six value strategies were derived, including ‘development of an advanced instructional media system’.
Conclusions This study is meaningful in that it analyzes the problem by considering the environmental aspects of the organization rather than solving the problem of education only by instructors such as teaching methods to education experts and organizational operators, and draws a solution by applying the ERRC framework. The value innovation strategy can be used as a practical and creative problem-solving method to improve students' global capabilities.
