초록

(연구배경 및 목적) 공공도서관은 정보자원관리자, 정보서비스제공자, 문화 및 소양의 교육자로서 정보화, 디지털화 시대에 따라 도서관 내 방문이용자가 해마다 감소하는 추세에 대응하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 공공도서관은 시장 마케팅의 서비스스케이프를 바탕으로, 이용자 관점을 중심으로 하는 공공도서관 공간구성요인을 재정비할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 문화 독서 서비스 수요에 따라, 공공도서관에 서비스스케이프 이론을 적용한다. 이를 통해 사용자의 다문화 요구를 충족시키고 사용자 정보자원 공유 플랫폼을 구축하여 사용자 정보 접근 편의성을 확대하고자 한다. 더 나아가 공공도서관 공간의 향후 개선을 위한 이론적 틀을 제공하고, 공공도서관의 물리적 환경 공간을 활성화 및 최적화하려 한다. 공공도서관 공간 차원을 확장하고, 공공도서관 공간구성요인에 대한 새로운 연구 관점을 제공하고자 한다. (연구방법) 먼저 본 논문은 공공도서관의 개념, 공간구성요인, 서비스스케이프 이론에 대한 문헌을 정리한다. 이를 통해 서비스스케이프와 공공도서관 공간의 관계를 명확히 한다. 다음으로, 선행연구에 기초해 서비스스케이프에 기반한 공공도서관의 구성요인과 가치틀을 도출한다. 최종적으로 제3차 도서관 종합발전계획(2019-2023)에서 부산시가 신축 또는 리모델링한 공공도서관을 연구 대상으로 선정하여 사례연구를 진행한다. (결과) 사례 분석을 통해 신축 및 리모델링된 공공도서관은 청결성, 편의성, 쾌적성, 심미성 점수가 상대적으로 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. 사용자 종합평가를 살펴보면, 신축 공공도서관이 재건축된 공공도서관보다 높은 평가점수를 받은 것으로 나타났다. 신축 공공도서관 내부의 계단식 공간 형태와 유연한 공간배치는 신축 공공도서관에 개방성과 가시성을 가져다주었고, 사용자의 도서관에 대한 접근성과 정보자원 접근성을 높였다. 신축 공공도서관은 실외내 공간디자인의 상호작용을 통하여 통일된 색상을 조정했다. 이러한 상호작용을 통해 시각적 아름다움을 향상시키고 사용자의 감각적 체험을 높였다. 리모델링된 공공도서관은 접근성, 사회성 및 기능을 더욱 개선해야 할 필요가 있었다. (결론) 공공도서관은 지역사회의 종합 문화 교류센터로 지역 사용자의 다양한 요구를 만족시키고, 사용자의 평생교육 수명 주기에 맞는 효율적인 서비스스케이프를 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 서비스스케이프에 기반한 공공도서관 구성요인과 가치 연구를 진행한다. 이러한 연구를 통해, 공공도서관 공간형식을 효율적으로 개선하고 공공도서관 사용자의 다양한 요구를 수용할 수 있다. 더 나아가, 공공도서관 커뮤니티 정보자원의 공유, 보존과 교류를 강조하며, 공공도서관 공간 계획의 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있다.

영어초록

(Background and Purpose) As information resource managers, service providers, and promoters of cultural literacy, public libraries need to adapt to the trends of decreasing on-site user visits in the digital age. To meet the diverse cultural reading service demands of users and create a platform for shared information resources, it is necessary to reevaluate the key factors shaping the spatial composition of public libraries from a user-centered perspective, incorporating servicescape theories from the field of marketing. This study aims to apply servicescape theory to public libraries, aligning with needs of users' cultural reading service and expanding the accessibility of information resources. The goal is to provide a theoretical framework for improving the spatial composition of public libraries, revitalizing and optimizing their physical environments, and expanding the levels of library spaces from a new research perspective. (Method) First, this study conducts a literature review on the concept of public libraries, spatial composition factors, and servicescape theory to establish a clear understanding of the relationship between servicescape and public library spaces. Secondly, based on previous research, the study deduces the composition factors and value framework of public libraries from a servicescape perspective. Finally, public libraries newly built or renovated under the third comprehensive library development plan (2019-2023) in Busan City are selected as case studies for research. (Results) Through case analysis, it was found that newly built or renovated public libraries had relatively high scores in terms of cleanliness, convenience, comfort, and aesthetics. Users' overall evaluations of newly built public libraries were higher than those of renovated ones due to the open and visually accessible spatial form and flexible layout achieved through the use of interior stepped spaces. This enhanced users' accessibility and convenience in accessing information resources. Through the interaction between outdoor landscapes and interior space design, along with a coordinated and unified color scheme, visual beauty is improved and the user's sensory experience is enhanced. However, further improvements are required in terms of accessibility, sociability, and functionality for the renovated public libraries. (Conclusions) As comprehensive cultural exchange centers within communities, public libraries should cater to diverse user needs and provide an efficient servicescape that aligns with users' lifelong education requirements. Therefore, it is essential to study the composition factors and value of public libraries based on servicescape, updating the spatial forms to accommodate user demands and emphasizing the preservation and exchange of shared community resources in public libraries. This research provides fundamental information for the development of public library spatial planning.
