‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제의 분석과 전망 (Analysis and Prospects of the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ Festival)

초록

연구 목적: 본 연구는 일본 땅에서 이루어지는 우리 재일교포들의 축제인 ‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제가 당분간 지속될 것이라는 예측을 할 수 있는 근거를 제시하고. 그 지속성을 담보하는요소가 무엇인지 밝혀보고 그 전망을 제시하는데 목적이 있다.
연구 방법: ‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제에 관한 선행연구들을 분석하여 이 축제의 지속가능성과 전망에 대해 고찰하였다.
연구 내용: ‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제가 성공할 수 있었던 요인은 첫째, 이 축제가 한일 양국의전문가들에 의해 고증받은 역사적 재현 축제이며, 둘째, 오사카지역의 학교뿐만 아니라 일본 기업, 오사카시의 행정 및 지역 시민들과의 협력을 이끌어낸 축제이다. 셋째, 오사카의교류와 협력의 이미지가 이 축제를 통해 브랜드화 되었다. 넷째, 관광명소인 오사카성 주변부에서 축제가 진행되므로 참여자의 접근성이 편리하다. 다섯째, 기초단체장의 리더쉽, 운영 주체가 확실한 점 등이다. 이 축제가 재일한국인의 축제를 넘어 오사카 시민의 축제로성공하였으나, 여전히 해결해야 할 문제가 많은 것은 사실이다. 재일교포 후속세대들의 민족 정체성 변화, 한일 양국의 역사 인식의 차이, 정치적 대립, 영토 분쟁 등이 지속되고있어 축제의 미래를 낙관할 수 없지만, 한류를 통해 일본의 젊은 세대들이 한국을 동경하는국가로 만들어 놓은 것은 이 축제의 전망을 밝게 하는 요소이기도 하다.
결론 및 제언: ‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제가 지속되기 위해서는 후속세대 양성이 절실히 요구되며, SNS를 통해 실시간으로 한국의 변화를 경험하는 일본 젊은 세대들은 ‘사천왕사왔소’ 축제를 통해 한국과의 교류를 시도하기도 하므로 한국의 국격과 한류 문화를 세계적으로 알리는 정부 차원에서의 노력도 필요하다. 이에 한국 정부는 소프트웨어 발전에 아낌없는 투자와 끼 많은 우리 청년층이 활발히 활동할 수 있도록 지원할 것을 제안하며, 본 연구가일본 속의 우리 축제인 ‘사천왕사왔소’를 이해하는데 기초 자료를 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

This study aims to provide the basis for predicting the continued existence of the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ festival, a festival of Korean-Japanese residents held in Japan, and to reveal the factors that ensure its sustainability, while presenting future prospects. By analyzing previous studies on the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ festival, we examined the festival’s sustainability and outlook. The factors that contributed to the success of the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ festival include, first, its status as a historically accurate re-enactment festival validated by experts from both Korea and Japan.
Second, the festival successfully garnered cooperation from not only local schools in the Osaka region but also Japanese companies, the Osaka city government, and local citizens. Third, Osaka’s image of exchange and cooperation has been branded through this festival. Fourth, the festival is conveniently located near the famous tourist spot, Osaka Castle, providing easy access for participants. Fifth, the leadership of local government officials and the clear definition of the festival’s operational entities have also contributed to its success. While the festival has grown beyond being simply a Korean-Japanese event to become a festival for Osaka citizens, there are still many issues that need to be addressed. These include changes in the ethnic identity of the next generation of Korean-Japanese residents, differences in historical perceptions between Korea and Japan, political conflicts, and territorial disputes, making it difficult to be optimistic about the festival’s future.
However, the fact that the Korean Wave (Hallyu) has fostered admiration for Korea among Japan’s younger generation is a positive factor that brightens the festival’s prospects. To ensure the continuation of the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ festival, fostering the next generation is critical. Young Japanese people, who experience Korea’s changes in real-time through social media, also attempt to engage with Korea through the ‘ShitennojiWasso’ festival. Therefore, government-level efforts to promote Korea’s national prestige and Hallyu culture globally are necessary. In this regard, the Korean government is encouraged to make generous investments in software development and provide support so that our talented youth can actively participate. This study is expected to serve as foundational material for understanding our festival in Japan, ‘ShitennojiWasso’.
