초록

This paper is an illustration attempting approach of comparative culture between literary text and literary anthropology and it analyzes Lee Chung-jun’ <The island swallow the mythology> quoting the sections of Poyatos’ methodology. This work enhances the inside view of human and the spirit of times and once being a journalist, the aspect of the anthropologist of the writer who completely tries to gather data to find folklore materials and culture of ‘shaman ritual drama(rite)’ and ‘regret(emotion)’ and ‘mythology(symbol)’ ready for the elements of traditional culture in itself, and so it’s enough for the explanation of literary anthropology.
In order to interpret literary anthropological on literary text in detail the present writer adopted the necessary part of Poyatos’ methodology, an authority of this field to analyzes the work. Those are ‘intelligible systems’ on ‘anthropological realism’ and ‘[Documentary(Historical) realism]’.
And also the material that gives awfully off the emotion of Korean tradition becomes one of the realism of culture on the subject of continuing the writer’s view of human looking at an shaman with the sight of humanity, the view of literature delivering lives of human putting love for mankind, the view of history criticizing of pressing the individual, the view of world(identity) through the experience of traditional culture. Expanding a literary study into the dimension of culturology, that is, mean that it develops the sense of the sight watching literature. On the contrary, there was more or less limitation in closer analyzes the text because literary anthropology is related to the outside the text of culture, not inside the text.
In conclusion Lee Chung-jun’ <The island swallow the mythology>, is rather an understanding about the lives of the people within the boundary of Korean history and traditional culture than deeply searches universal human problem of the whole mankind.
