초록

대학생 시기는 진로에 대한 탐색이 이루어지며, 자신의 진로를 구체화시키는 시기로 자신의 전공과 관련된 진로의 구체적인 정보와 계획적인 탐색을 바탕으로 진로계획을 준비해야하는 중요한 시기라 할 수 있다. 그러나 현대사회는 직업이 다양화되고 전문화되어 새로운 지식과 기술이 필요해지면서 자신에게 적합한 진로를 결정하고 준비하는 일이 더욱 어려워지고 있는 실정에서도 전공학과의 적응과 만족, 진로결정에 대한 어려움을 겪고 있다. 더욱이 오래된 경기침체와 위기로 인하여 실업률은 높아지고 사회진출을 준비하는 대학생들에게 진로결정에 대한 문제는 절실한 과제가 되고 있다.
특히, 항공서비스 전공 대학생들의 경우 항공사 객실승무원을 목표로 진학을 한 학생들이 대부분이기 때문에 이와 같은 취업환경은 타 전공 대학생들에 비하여 좌절감, 불안감 등을 더욱 느끼기 쉽기 때문에 학교생활 부적응 및 전공에 대한 불만족을 초래할 수 있다. 이러한 과도한 취업불안을 경험한 대학생들의 경우 대학생활 적응을 방해하고, 주변 지인들과 비교하게 되면서 취업역량과 조건의 부족함을 경험하여 열등감을 느끼게 되어 대인관계, 정신 건강 및 신체적 건강에까지 부정적인 영향을 미치게 된다.
이러한 시대적 흐름과 사회적 환경의 변화에 따라 진로결정의 문제로 고민하는 대학생들이 만족스러운 진로선택을 할 수 있도록 돕는 진로결정에 대한 연구의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 최근 진로에 대한 관심이 높아지고 연구도 많아졌지만 대부분의 연구들은 대학생들의 진로결정에 영향을 미치는 요인, 즉 어떤 요인들이 진로를 결정하는데 영향을 미치는가를 분석하고 있다.
이에 본 연구에서는 항공서비스 전공 대학생들의 진로결정요인이 전공만족, 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 항공서비스 전공 대학생들의 진로 결정에 결정적인 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출하고, 전공만족과 취업준비행동에 영향을 미치는 경로과정도 분석하고자 한다. 연구를 진행한 결과, 진로결정요인이 전공만족, 취업준비행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영어초록

The college days are considered a period when career exploration is made and each student’s career path is materialized. Thus, it is an important period to prepare a career plan based on detailed information and systematic exploration of the career related to each one’s major. However, as occupations are getting more and more diversified and specialized in modern society, new knowledge and skills are needed, making it more difficult for college students to decide and prepare for a career in accordance with one’s aptitude., in terms of adaptation to their respective major, satisfaction with their major and career decisions. Moreover, the problem of career decisions is an urgent task for college students who prepare to step into the society, considering that the unemployment rate is increasing due to the long-term economic recession and crisis.
In particular, since most of the students majoring in aviation services chose their major aiming to be flight attendants, they are more likely to feel frustration and anxiety compared to other college students majoring in different disciplines. This situation can lead to maladjustment to school life and dissatisfaction with their major. The college students who have experienced this type of excessive anxiety due to the unstable employment situation, have difficulty in adapting to college life. In addition, as they compare themselves to others, they experience insufficient employment competency and conditions, until they feel inferior to others, which negatively affects their interpersonal relationships, mental health, and even physical health.
In line with today’s trends and changes in the social environment, there is a growing need for research regarding career decisions to help college students who are seriously undergoing difficulty with career decision make satisfactory career decisions. Although interest in careers has grown lately and research regarding the issue has been on the rise, most studies are focusing on the analysis of the factors that influence college students' career decisions, in other words, the factors that give influences on their career decision-making.
With this in mind, this study was intended to examine how career decision-making factors of college students majoring in aviation services influences their satisfaction with major and job preparation behavior in order to not only draw the factors influencing their career decision-making, but also make an analysis of the process that influence their satisfaction with major and job preparation behavior. According to the results of this study, it turned out that career decision-making factors influence satisfaction with major and job preparation behavior of college students.
