고등교육기관의 적절한 배려가 장애 대학생의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The effects of reasonable accommodation in post-secondary educational institution on quality of life among college students with disabilities)

초록

본 논문은 적절한 배려 욕구를 파악하고, 적절한 배려 제공이 장애 대학생의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 알아보아 향후 효과적인 적절한 배려 제공을 위한 기초자료를 마련하는데 목적이 있다.
장애 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 자료의 처리는 적절한 배려가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위하여 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 적절한 배려에 대한 만족과 삶의 질의 영향 관계를 장애 대학생의 일반적 특성에 따라 살펴보면 첫째, 학년이 높을수록, 장애등급이 높을수록, 출신고교가 기타일수록 물적편의제공과 기타편의제공에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 대인관계에 대한 삶의 질 만족도도 높다. 둘째, 여성일수록, 장애등급이 낮을수록 물리적편의시설과 물적편의제공, 인적편의제공 중 일반도우미의 제공과 기타편의제공에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 정서적 안정에 대한 삶의 질 만족도도 높다. 셋째, 여성일수록, 학년이 높을수록, 장애등급이 높을수록, 내부신체기능장애유형이 아닐수록, 출신고교가 일반학교 특수학급이 아닐수록, 물적편의제공과 기타편의제공에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 사회적 통합에 대한 삶의 질 만족도도 높다. 넷째, 여성일수록, 학년이 높을수록, 장애등급이 낮을수록, 내부신체기능장애유형이 아닐수록, 출신고교가 검정고시가 아닐수록 물리적편의시설에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 자기결정과 선택에 대한 삶의 질 만족도가 높다. 다섯째, 적절한 배려와 신체적 안녕간의 관계를 보면, 이들은 통계적으로 유의미한 관계가 없다. 여섯째, 여성일수록, 장애등급이 낮을수록, 출신고교가 특수학교와 검정고시가 아닐수록 물리적편의시설과 인적편의제공에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 권리에 대한 삶의 질 만족도도 높다. 일곱째, 여성일수록, 학년이 높을수록, 장애등급이 낮을수록, 내부신체기능장애유형이 아닐수록, 출신고교가 검정고시가 아닐수록 물리적편의시설과 물적편의제공, 인적편의제공 중 전문도우미에 대한 만족도가 높은 사람이 개인적 수행에 대한 삶의 질 만족도가 높다.

영어초록

Students with disabilities by means of understanding the appropriate desire of reasonable accommodation and finding out the influence of offering it over them. This study was conducted targeting college students with disabilities. The methods of analysis are Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.
Followings are results of the research in summary.
The effect of the students’ satisfaction from quality of their life on their satisfaction from reasonable accommodation in post-secondary educational institution according to general characteristics of college students with disabilities such as gender, school year, abode(within or outside the school), disability rating and disability type is as follows.
Firstly, the higher students’ school year and disability rating, and those who are happy with material accommodation and extra accommodation are satisfied with the quality of life in term of personal relationship. Secondly, the lower disability rating and female students, and those who are happy with general assistance among personnel accommodation, material accommodation and extra accommodation are satisfied with the quality of life in term of emotional stability. Thirdly, female students, higher school year, higher disability rating, non-internal disability type, not come from special educational class in general high school, and those who are happy with physical and extra accommodation are satisfied with the quality of life in term of social integrity. Fourthly, female students, higher school year, lower disability rating, non-internal disability type, not come from school qualification exam, and those who are happy with physical accommodations facilities are satisfied with the quality of life in term of self-determination. Fifthly, there is no statistical relation between reasonable accommodation and the quality of life in term of physical well-being. Sixthly, female students, lower disability rating, not come from school qualification exam or special educational schools, and those who are happy with self-determinations and personnel accommodation are satisfied with the quality of life in term of rights. Seventhly, female students, higher school year, lower disability rating, non-internal disability type, not come from school qualification exam, and those who are happy with professional assistance among personnel accommodation, physical accommodation facilities, material accommodation are satisfied with the quality of life in term of individual performance.
