『일본인의 역사교과서』(自由社)의 근세 한국사 관련서술과 日本近世史像 (Modern Korean history related description of Japanese’s history textbook (Jiyushya) and Japanese modern historical phenomenon)

초록

이 글은 2009년 5월 출간된 <自由社> 교과서의 근세 한국사관련 서술을, 2006년 출간된 <扶桑社> 및 <東京書籍> 교과서의 내용과 비교한 후, 이들 교과서에 나타난 일본 근세사상을 분석하는 목적을 가지고 있다.
<지유샤>판 『일본인의 역사교과서』 근세 부분의 한국사관련 서술은 종전에 쟁점이 되고 있던 주제나 내용면에서 전혀 개선되지 않았다. 중근세의 쟁점주제는 倭寇, 朝鮮國號와 통교문제, 壬辰倭亂, 朝鮮通信使 및 倭館 등인데, 그 내용은 2006년에 발행된 <후소샤>판의 내용과 같았다. 왜구에 관해서는 <일본인외에 조선인도 많이 포함되어 있다>는 내용이었고, 조선의 국호도 李氏朝鮮을 병기하고 있으며, 통교가 조선의 요청을 막부가 허가하여 시작되었다고 했다. 임진왜란은 朝鮮出兵으로 표기했고, 豊臣秀吉의 원대한 꿈만을 장황하게 늘어놓고 있다. 또한 조선통신사도 단순히 장군취임을 축하하는 사절단으로 서술하였고, 부산왜관을 對馬島主가 설치한 宗氏의 왜관으로 서술했다.
또한 두 책의 근세부분 목차와 내용을 비교해보면, 문화에 대한 구체적인 서술이 많아졌다. 아마 종전의 부정적인 비판을 의식하여 문화부분의 서술을 늘린 것 같으나, 중학교 과정에서 소화할 수 있는 내용인지 의심스럽다.
끝으로 <지유샤>판의 근세사 및 한국관련 서술의 특징은 첫째, 天皇이 강조된 고대사의 서술에 비해 근세사 서술이 상대적으로 적게 서술되었다. 둘째, 幕府의 통치체제는 막부와 大名이 연합한 「聯邦制」국가이다. 셋째, 織田信長․豊臣秀吉․德川家康에 의한 전국통일은 천황 권위의 힘에 의해 달성된 것이다. 넷째, 중국․조선의 정치적․문화적 영향을 과소평가하고 있다. 뿐만아니라 유럽과의 관계만을 강조할 뿐, 중국이나 조선, 심지어는 琉球나 아이누와의 관계에 대해서도 언급이 없다. 일본인들 스스로 인정하듯 歐美에 대한 콤플렉스로 볼 수 밖에 없다. 이러한 역사인식이 결국은 한국관련 서술을 소략하게 했을 것이고, 무시ㆍ왜곡하는 원인이 되었다고 생각한다.

영어초록

This study compared with modern Korean history related description of the textbook, <Jiyushya>, that published on May 2009 and contents of the textbook <Husoshya>, <Tokyo books> that published in 2006, has aims to analysis Japanese modern historical phenomenon that were presented in these textbooks.
Korean history related description of parts of modern ages in <Japanese’s history textbook> of <Jiyushya> edition has completely not improved in fields of subjects and contents that were issues before. Issue subjects of middle age and modern age are ‘Oaegu’, ‘Joseon’ national name, trade issue, ‘Imjinoaeran’, ‘Joseontongsinsa’ and ‘Oaegwan’, the contents are same as <Husoshya> edition that published in 2006. About the ‘Oaegu’, it is contents that Koreans are involved a lots except Japanese, the name of a country of Joseon used ‘the Lees of Joseon’, and trade had started by permission of ‘Makufu’. ‘Imjinoaeran’ marked as the dispatch of Japanese troops to Joseon, and wordily mention just grand dream of ‘Toyotomihideyshi’. Besides it describes ‘Joseon tongsinsa’ as a mission that congratulated general inauguration, and describes Busan ‘Oaegwan’ as ‘Oaegwan of Sou’ that the chief of Tsushima established.
Compared with contents and substance in modern ages of two books, concrete description about the culture has become bigger. It is aware of negative criticism before and it seems that increase description of cultures, but it is doubtful that is a contents that can assimilate in middle school course.
Finally, features of modern ages and Korean history related description of <Jiyushya> edition, firstly, compared with description of ancient history emphasized the Emperor of Japan, description of modern history was relatively written a few. Secondly, reign organization of ‘Makufu’ is federalism country that united ‘Makufu’ and ‘Daimyo’. Thirdly, the whole country unification by ‘Odanobunaga’, ‘Toyotomihideyoshi’, ‘Tocugawaieyasu’ was accomplished by power of the Emperor of Japan. Fourthly, it underestimates political and cultural effects of China and Joseon. And also, emphasized relation with Europe, it doesn’t mention the relation with China and Joseon even Ryuku nad Inu, As Japanese recognize by themselves, it could see complex about the west. These history recognition make Korea related description careless, and it causes disregard and distortion.
