부산지역 출토 철모로 본 가야·신라의 창병(槍兵)운용 (Spearman Management of Gaya and Silla based on the spearheads excavated in Busan)

초록

삼국시대 철모의 시기적 변화상은 무술, 나아가 전술의 변화를 투영하고 있을 가능성이 높다. 본고에서는 이러한 부분에 대한 실마리를 찾고자 삼한·삼국시대 철모의 운용방식을 추정해 보고자 하였다.
선학들의 연구를 통해 삼국시대 철모는 장식성이 강한 소수 몇몇을 제외하곤, 지역과 무관하게 ‘신부 단면 볼록렌즈형→능형, 유관식→무관식, 직기형→연미형’이라는 공통적인 변화를 공유하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 무기로서의 기능을 최적화시킨 결과이다. 이에 본고에서는 실전용 주력 철모의 경우 지역적인 차이가 두드러지지않는다는 전제하에 논고를 진행하였다. 보다 상세한 분석을 위해 지역적인 범위를 좁혀 부산지역 내 삼한·삼국시대 대표 고분군을 대상으로 하였다. 우선, 이들 유적 출토 철모의 분석을 통해 형식을 설정하고, 시기별 주류를차지하고 있는 철모가 어떤 것이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 다음으로 주류를 차지하고 있는 철모가 기능적으로 어떤특징을 가지고 있는지 검토하고, 이것이 무술이나 전술의 변화를 반영하고 있는 것인지 단편적으로나마 살펴보았다. 검토 결과 가야·신라 창병 운용은 5단계로 구분됨을 알 수 있었다.
Ⅰ기는 기원 전후부터 3세기 후반까지의 시기이다. 베는 기능의 Ⅰ가A·Ⅰ가B식의 철모가 주류를 이루고 있다. Ⅱ기는 4세기 전반의 시기이다. Ⅱ나B·Ⅱ나C식이 새롭게 출현한다. 그렇지만 여전히 베는 기능의 철모가 높은 비중으로 확인되며, 철모 외에 베는 무기인 창(槍)과 곡도(曲刀)가 확인된다. Ⅲ기는 4세기 후반의 시기이다.
철모는 다수의 형식이 난립하고 있지만 그중 특히 찌르는 기능의 Ⅱ나C식의 출토량이 증가하고 있다. Ⅳ기는 5 세기 전반의 시기이다. 찌르는 기능의 Ⅱ나C식이 높은 출토 비율을 보인다. Ⅴ기는 5세기 후반 이후의 시기이다.
찌르는 기능의 Ⅱ나C식과 무C식이 주류를 차지하고 있다.

영어초록

It is highly likely that the periodic change of the spearheads in the Three Kingdoms period projects changes in martial arts and further tactics. In order to find a clue to this part, this paper tried to estimate the operation method of the spearheads in the Three Kingdoms period, albeit weakly.
As previously pointed out, spearheads in the Three Kingdoms period shares the common change of 'cross-sectional convex lens type → square type, having bar type → having no bar type, and flatted-soket type → tail of swallow-soket type' regardless of region, except for a few with strong decorative properties. This can be said to be the result of optimizing the function as a weapon. Therefore, in this paper, the discussion was conducted on the premise that regional differences were not noticeable in the case of the main spearheads for practical use. For a more detailed analysis, the regional scope was narrowed to target the representative ancient tombs of the Three Kingdoms period in Busan. First of all, through the analysis of the spearheads excavated from these relics, the form was set, and it was examined what types of spearhead that occupy the mainstream by period were examined. Next, we reviewed the functional characteristics of the spearhead that occupies the mainstream and examined fragmentarily whether this reflects changes in martial arts or tactics. As a result of the review, it was found that the operation of the Gaya-Silla spearman was divided into five stages.
Stage I is the period from around AD to the second half of the 3rd century. Spearheads in the type of Ⅰ가A·Ⅰ가B of the cutting function is dominated. Stage II is the first half of the 4th century. Equations type of Ⅱ나B·Ⅱ나C appear anew. However, it is still confirmed that the spearheads of the cutting function is high in proportion, and spears(槍) and curved spears(曲刀), which are weapons for cutting other than spearheads, are identified. Stage III is the second half of the 4th century. Spearheads are scattered in many types, but among them, the amount of excavations of Type Ⅱ나C of stabbing function is increasing.
Stage IV is the period in the first half of the 5th century. Type Ⅱ나C of stabbing function shows a high excavation rate. Stage V is after the second half of the 5th century. Type Ⅱ나C and 무C of stabbing function dominate.
