유아교육철학에서 본 유아교육의 가치혼돈 실태 분석 (A analysis on actual status confusion of value in early childhood education from the view point of philosophy of childhood education)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아교육에 있어서 가치혼돈의 실태를 규명하여 그 해결 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 유아교육의 가치라는 규범에 의해서 유아교육의 가치혼돈을 비판적으로 접근하는 비판적 탐구(critical inquiry)방식으로 수행되었다. 유아교육의 학문적 활동에서 가치혼돈은 과학적 연구방법에 지나치게 의존한 결과이다. 유아교육 방향 설정에 있어서 가치혼돈은 경영학의 가치가 유아교육에 적용된 결과이며, 유아교육과정에서 가치혼돈은 표상적으로는 Dewey의 아동중심교육철학을 지향하면서도 심층적으로는 Taba의 교육과정 틀, 학문중심교육과정, 인지발달이론을 지향한 결과이다. 유아교육의 정책 구현과 유아교육 운영에 있어서 가치혼돈은 유아교육의 가치를 실현하겠다는 의지보다는 국가발전을 위한 수단이 되었을 때, 그리고 경제적 가치에 의존한 결과이다. 유아교육에서 가치혼돈을 극복하기 위한 방향은 계획적 가치와 실행적 가치를 일치시키면서 유아교육의 가치를 최상위로 정립하는 것이다. 유아교육의 연구는 유아교육의 실제에 바탕을 두어야 하고 유아교육의 가치 실현을 위해서 타학문으로부터 그리고 과도하게 정부에 의존하려는 자세에서 벗어나야 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the real state of the confusion of values and suggest the solutions. The research was performed through the critical inquiry that is an approach used to criticize the confusion of values in early childhood education from the criteria of the value of early childhood education. I suggest that the confusion of values in early childhood education arises when its value is subordinate to the values of the other fields of study and the confusion of values in research activities of early childhood education began with the application of scientific approaches. Besides, the confusion of values in setting up the direction of research of early childhood education resulted from that the value of business administration was applied to early childhood education. And the confusion of values in the curriculum of early childhood education occurs since it aims for the Dewey's child-centered education philosophy presentational, however, at the same time, it aims for the Taba curriculum model, discipline-centered curriculum, and the theory of cognitive development in depth. The confusion of values in the realization of the policy and the management of early childhood education takes place when they depend not on the strong will for the realization of the true value of early childhood education itself but on the economic values as the means for national development. In order to overcome the confusion of values in early childhood education, most of all, we should quadrate the executive value with the planned value and make sure that the value of early childhood education itself is the most significant. In addition, the research for early childhood education must be based on the actual education.
Second, we should not overly rely upon the government authority as well as the other fields of study.
