사이버 강좌 강의개선 방안 연구 (A Study on How to Improve Lectures in Cyber Lectures)

초록

본 연구는 3년 이상 사이버 강좌를 운영하고 있는 세 명의 교수자들이 협업하여 사이버강의의 문제점과 개선방안을 공동연구함으로써 보다 질높은 사이버 강좌의 운영방안을 마련하고자 하였다.
오늘날 인터넷 사이버 공간에서의 가상교육은 대학 내에서 새로운 교수 학습의 공간이자 새로운 문화로 자리 잡아가고 있다. 각 대학의 사이버 강좌의 수가 늘어나면서 학습에대한 정의는 물론이고 가르치고 배우는 메커니즘도 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 향후 포스트코로나 이후의 시대에서도 비대면 수업은 코로나 이전에 비해 비중이 높아질 것으로 전망된다. 기후변화로 인한 생태계의 급변은 우리 인류에게 위드 코로나, 나아가 위드 바이러스와같은 위기의 일상화에 적응해갈 것을 강제하고 있다.
이런 상황에서 그나마 다행인 것은 대학 교육 현장의 혼란 속에서도 우리에게는 기존에운영해 오던 사이버 강좌의 축적된 노하우와 끊임없는 개선작업을 통해서 발빠르게 교육현장을 안정화시켜 나갈 수 있을 것이라는 점이다. 나아가 코로나 19로 발생한 위기에 직면하여 향후 대학 교육을 과감히 혁신하고, 교육 현장의 위기를 기회로 삼을 필요가 있다.
대학 교육 과정에서 지식을 전달해야 하는 전통적인 교육은 온라인, 모바일, 유투브, 화상교육 등의 비대면 혹은 원격 교육으로 진행하면 큰 문제는 없을 것이지만, 본 연구자들의공동 연구에서도 확인되었듯이 어떻게 학생들의 참여도를 끌어올리고 대면 수업이 갖는 최대의 강점인 교수자-학습자 간의 상호작용을 비대면 수업에 가져올 수 있을 것인가는 앞으로 해결해 나가야 할 과제이다.
본 연구를 통해 그에 관한 일단의 아이디어들도 제시되었다고 본다. 각각의 교수자들은사이버 강의를 통해 학생 참여를 위한 여러 가지 아이디어들을 동원하여 단순한 지식전달교육에서 벗어나 학생 스스로 깨우쳐 나갈 수 있도록 하는 스토리텔링, 토론, 학습자간 모니터링, 댓글 달기의 활성화, 해당 국가 여행하기라는 대리체험을 통한 외국어학습의 체험형 모델 제시 등이 그것이다.
기존의 학습자 설문을 바탕으로한 사이버강좌 개선 방향에 관한 연구가 학습자의 관점에서 접근한 것이었다면 본 연구는 실제 사이버강좌를 기획, 운영하고 있는 담당 교수자들간의 협업이라는 점에서 향후 보다 질 높은 사이버 강좌 관련 연구에 이바지함은 물론 비대면 시대의 교육 현장에도 많은 시사점을 던져줄 것으로 기대된다.

Cyber education is an intentional and planned teaching-learning activity carried out in an electronic virtual space through the utilization of the characteristics and resources of the web. In this study, three professors who have been running cyber lectures for more than 3 years collaborated to study the problems and improvement methods of cyber lectures to prepare a higher quality cyber lecture operation plan.
Today, virtual education in the Internet cyberspace is being established as a new teaching and learning space and a new culture within universities. As the number of cyber courses at each university increases, the definition of learning as well as the teaching and learning mechanisms are rapidly changing. For the continuous improvement and development of cyber education, this study looked back at the current state of cyber lecture operation and explored ways to improve the course.
In the post-corona era, the proportion of non-face-to-face classes is expected to increase compared to pre-coronavirus. The rapid change of the ecosystem due to climate change is forcing us to adapt to the daily routine of crises such as the with corona and the with virus. The fortunate thing in this situation is that even in the midst of the chaos of the university education field, we will be able to quickly stabilize the educational field through the accumulated know-how of the existing cyber courses and continuous improvement work.
Furthermore, in the face of the crisis caused by COVID-19, it is necessary to boldly innovate university education in the future and use the crisis in the education field as an opportunity. Traditional education, which requires the transfer of knowledge in the university education process, will not be a big problem if it is conducted through non-face-to-face or distance education such as online, mobile, YouTube, and video education. It is a task to be solved in the future whether it will be possible to bring the interaction between instructors and learners, which is the greatest strength of face-to-face classes, to non-face-to-face classes.
Through this study, I think that a group of ideas about it have also been presented. Through cyber lectures, each professor mobilizes various ideas for student participation to go beyond the simple knowledge transfer education and encourage students to learn on their own through storytelling, discussion, monitoring between learners, activating comments, and traveling to the country.
This is the presentation of an experiential model of foreign language learning through proxy experience.
However, there were many improvements in the existing cyber lectures, and it is expected that this will not only contribute to the operation of higher quality cyber lectures in the future, but also give many implications to the educational field in the non-face-to-face era.
