코로나19 엔데믹 국면에서 20학번 대학생의 학교생활 적응에 관한 질적연구 (A Qualitative Study on 20th Year College Students’ Adaptation to School Life in the Endemic Phase of COVID-19)

초록

목적 이 연구는 코로나19 엔데믹 국면에서 20학번 대학생의 학교생활 적응을 질적연구로 살펴보고, 이러한 기록이 갖는 의미를교육적⋅윤리적 측면에서 규명하였다.
방법 이를 위해 K대학에서 임의표집과 눈덩이표집으로 응답자 20명을 표집한 다음 초점집단연구로 학업적 적응과 사회적 적응을살펴보았다. 학업적 적응과 관련해, 학습계획역량, 학습실행역량, 학습평가역량을 중심으로 자기주도학습역량이 어떻게 발휘됐는지 살펴보았다. 사회적 적응과 관련해, 사교역량, 동원역량, 조정역량을 중심으로 의사소통역량이 어떻게 전개됐는지 살펴보았다.
결과 대면이 주는 생동감은 학습몰입을 유도해 적극적인 수업 태도와 동료 학생 간 소통을 촉진했다. 그러나 학습과 생활시간의조정이 쉽지 않았고, 조별 활동과 상대 평가는 수업 부담감을 증가시켰다. 학내 구성원과의 소통은 지인 중심으로 소극적으로 이뤄졌다. 고학번이 된 상황에서 자신이 먼저 나서는 것이 불편하고 어색하다는 것이다. 이는 이곳저곳 들이미는 새내기 경험이 입학 초부터 거세된 결과인데, 어느새 이들은 학내 구성원과의 소통보다 당면한 취업 준비에 몰두하고 있었다.
결론 20학번 대학생들의 학교생활 적응에 관한 기록은 질병 재난을 견뎌낸 동시대 사람들의 공적 기억으로 설정하고, 사태 해결주체로 사회가 나서게 할 사회윤리의 공공재로 활용할 필요가 있다. 또한 교육 영역에서의 재난 대응에 활용해야 하는데, 학습자가학교생활에 성공적으로 적응할 수 있게 회복탄력성을 키우는 방향으로 진행돼야 한다.

영어초록

Objectives This study looked at the adaptation to school life of 20th year college students in the endemic phase of COVID-19. Through this, the meaning of these records was clarified in terms of education and ethics.
Methods For this purpose, 20 respondents were sampled by convenience sampling and snowball sampling at K university, and then the academic adaptation and social adaptation were examined by the focus group interview.
With regard to academic adaptation, this study examined how self-directed learning competencies were ex ercised, focusing on learning planning competencies, learning execution competencies, and learning evaluation competencies. And with regard to social adaptation, this study examined how social communication com petencies developed around social competencies, mobilization competencies, and coordination competencies.
Results The liveliness of face-to-face interaction induced learning flow and facilitated active class attitudes and communication among students, but it was not easy to adjust the learning and living time, and group activities and relative evaluation increased the burden of class. The communication with members of the school was made pas sively by centered on acquaintances. It is inconvenient and awkward for them to go first as the grade goes up. This is the result of the intensification of the freshman experience, and they were more preoccupied with immediate job preparation than communication with members of the school.
Conclusions The record of adaptation to school life of 20th year college students should be set as the public mem ory of the contemporaries who have endured the disease disaster and it is necessary to use it as a public good of social ethics that will allow society to come forward as a subject to solve the situation. It should be utilized in dis aster response in the education field, and it should be sought to improve resilience so that learners can success fully adapt to school life.
