공백 주체의 발견: 자크 라캉의 무의식 주체와 율곡 이 이의 성심지묘(性心之妙) 주체 (The Discovery of the Void Subject: Jacques Lacan’s Subject of the Unconscious and Yulgok Ii’s Subject of Seong-Sim Ji Myo(性心之妙))

초록

근현대 철학의 핵심 키워드는 ‘주체’와 ‘(대)타자’이다. 근대 의식 주체는, 명석 판명한 확실성 위에 정립된 자아이고, 선험적 형식에 따라 타자(현상의 감성세계)를 구성하여 종합 판단하는 통일적 자아이고, 그리고 자기 원인이면서 동시에 그 결과로서자기 스스로를 정립하고 타자를 정립하는 능동적 절대 자아이다. 이를테면 자기 동일성에 기초한 근대 의식 주체는 자기 자신은 물론 타자의 세계를 정립하는 주체이다.
‘타자의 주체화’이다. 그러나 소쉬르의 언어학에서 비롯된 구조주의 및 후기 구조주의라는 철학적 사조 이후 근대 의식 주체는 오히려 타자, 말하자면 언어적 상징 질서(사회 구조)의 대타자에게 호명되어 자신의 시니피앙을 부여받아 주체화 된다. 이때주체는 그 구성은 물론 그 욕망까지도 대타자의 욕망을 욕망하는 바, 상징 질서에 종속된 줄도 모르고, 부여받은 시니피앙의 위임된 역할을 자율적으로 수행하면서 대타자의 인정을 욕망한다. ‘주체의 타자화’이다.
본 연구는 이상과 같은 근대 의식 주체의 ‘타자의 주체화’와 주체 해체의 경향을 갖는 구조주의 및 후기 구조주의의 ‘주체의 타자화’라는 철학적 아포리아에서 공백 주체를 발견하고자 한다. 방법론적으로는 자크 라캉의 무의식 주체의 실재적 결여와 상징적 결여에 기초한 소외와 분리의 변증법적 과정을 탐사한 후, 이 탐사를 율곡 이이의 성심지묘 주체의 미발적 차원(라캉의 실재적 결여)과 정·의·지(情意志)의 이발 차원(라캉의 상징적 결여)에 연관시켜 창조적으로 해석한다. 자크 라캉의 무의식 주체와율곡 이이의 성심지묘 주체를 통해 발견한 공백주체의 요지는 다음과 같다. 그 실재적 결여의 탐사에서는 근대 의식 주체는 통일적이며 능동적인 자기 정립적 절대 자아가 아닌 자기 존재를 결여한 분열적인 공백 주체임을 드러낸다. 그리고 상징적 결여의탐사에서는 대타자의 상징계에 대한 응답으로서 시니피앙의 연쇄에 종속된 수동적인자기-소외 주체가 그 연쇄가 자신의 실재적 결여에 기초하고 있음을 알고, 대타자와분리함으로써 자신의 결여된 실재에 응답함으로서 자기 존재를 창조하는 저항과 자유의 공백 주체를 논증한다.

영어초록

The key words of modern-contemporary philosophy are the ‘subject’ and the ‘(O)other.’ The modern subject of consciousness is an self identified(transparent) ego established on clear and distinct certainty, a unified ego that synthetically judges the other (the sensible world of phenomena) constituted by its a priori form, and an active absolute ego that set ups itself as self-causality and forms the other. That is, the modern subject of consciousness made up on self-transparency is the subject that establishes the other as well as oneself. It is the subjectivation of the (O)other. However, after the philosophical flow of structuralism and post-structuralism derived from Saussure’s linguistics, the modern subject of consciousness is rather interpellated by the field of the Other, the order of symbolic signifiers(social structure), and get to be the subject with one of the signifiers. Now the subjectivated subject(the subject of signifier) desires the desire of the Other and the Other’s recognition on taking a delegated role of its own signifier by without knowing that it is subordinate to the symbolic structure. It is otherizstion of the subject.
In the philosophical aporia, the two extremes between the subjectivation of the (O)other and the otherizstion on the subject, this study would discover a void subject. Methodically, after exploring the dialectical process of alienation and separation folded on Jacques Lacan’s the notion of real lack and symbolic lack in the subject of the unconscious, this exploration is creatively interpreted in relation to Yulgok Ii’s unissued dimension(Lacan’s real lack) and the issued dimension(Lacan’s symbolic lack). The point is that the exploration on the real lack would disclose the void subject that gets the modern subject of consciousness not to be self identical, unified, and active absolute self, but untransparent and divided subject; and the one on the symbolic lack would demonstrate the void subject that the passive self-alienated subject subordinate to the field of the symbolic begins to separating from its own relation of the field by knowing that the symbolic consists of the real lack of the divided subject, and proceeds to extremes where the alienated subject gives birth to its own being.
