희곡 낭독 교육의 연극 교과와의 연계 가능성 － 말(대사)의 연극적 표현력을 중심으로 (A Study on the Potentials of Connecting Drama Reading Aloud Education and Drama Subject ―Focused on the Theatrical Verbal Expressions)

초록

문학 갈래에 대한 교육은 문학 영역의 대표적인 반복․심화 학습 내용의 하나이다. 그러나 갈래에 대한 광범위한 성취기준은 갈래의 특성을 고려하지 않을 경우 갈래에 맞는 적합한 학습활동을 구안하기 쉽지 않다. 특히 희곡교육은 갈래의 특성 중 문학성에 초점을 두고 연극성을 소홀히 다룸으로써 소설교육과 변별성을 지니지 못한 것이 사실이다.
이에 본고는 희곡 갈래의 연극성 성취를 위해 독서 방법 낭독의 기초―심화―적용 단계를 설정하여 학습자의 낭독, 즉 말하는 독자의 표현적 소리 내어 읽기를 중심으로 연극 교과와 연계하였다. 먼저, 기초 단계 발성‧발음 연습은 말(대사) 소리의 정확성에 초점을 두고 음성기관과 발화과정을 이해하도록 함으로써 감정을 배제한 상태에서 기본 의미를 전달한다. 다음, 심화 단계 끊어 읽기‧새겨 읽기는 말(대사) 표현의 유창성에 초점을 두고 연극적 상상력과 문해력을 해결하도록 함으로써 인물과 상황에 맞게 의미와 감정을 미세한 정도까지 조절하여 표현한다. 마지막, 적용 단계 낭독 실연은 연극적 표현력에 초점을 두고 목소리로 모든 정보를 표현할 수 있도록 세밀화 훈련을 함으로써 표현적 소리 내어 읽기를 완성한다. 이로써 학습자는 실연의 극적 체험을 전제하는 실천적 읽기 낭독을 통해 ‘읽는다’의 낭독자와 ‘표현한다’의 실연자로서 교육적 가치를 경험하고, 연극적 표현력인 극 능력을 함양할 수 있게 된다. 따라서 두 교과를 연계한 희곡 낭독 교육은 희곡의 문학성과 연극성 모두를 교수‧학습할 수 있는 구체적인 방안이 될 수 있다.
디지털 시대 다양한 매체 환경 아래 매체와 매체 사이의 교류와 소통으로 타 영역 타 교과와의 유기적 연계가 강화되고 있다. 문학의 갈래를 엄격하게 경계 짓지 않는 유연한 관점을 갖고 교수‧학습할 수 있도록 매체 등 재교육을 통해 교수자 역량을 강화해야 할 것이다.

영어초록

Education of literary genre is one of the representative repetition and advanced learning contents. However, it is challenging to devise learning activities suitable for comprehensive literary genres without considering their characteristics. In particular, drama education indeed focuses on the literary inclination by neglecting theatricality, which leads to a lack of literary education and distinctiveness.
Therefore, this paper put an in―depth study on the theatricality of the drama genre by setting stages with basic, advanced, and application reading aloud methods and liked it to the theatre subject focusing on the learner’s reading ‘expressive reading aloud’. Reading aloud performance requires ‘theatrical ability’, which is a theatrical expression expressed by movement(body gesture), and speech(line). First, the introductory stage of vocalization and pronunciation practice focused on ‘making loud sounds’ and ‘producing accurate sounds’ in terms of accuracy and clarity of sound to explore the characteristics of language and understand the phonetic organs and speech process. It also focused on conveying the basic meaning while excluding emotions. Next, chunk and close reading in the advanced stage could solve the theatrical imagination and literacy by paying attention to fluency and clarity of the meaning of the text utilizing strategies like ‘pausing and connecting’ and ‘realizing the meaning and content deeply’. Various meanings and emotions are controlled precisely to express the characters and context of the situation. Lastly, reading aloud in the application stage could complete an expressive sound by utilizing media and theatrical expression as ‘the actual performance’. Precision training is conducted so that appropriate voice acting can be performed according to the type of media and the form of the work allowing a learner to experience artistic and educational values as a reader and performer.
The concept of literature is expanding amid strengthening organic links with other subjects in other areas through exchanges and communication between media in various media environments in the digital era. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the capabilities of instructors through re―education for media, making them teach and learn with flexibility in their perspectives without strict literature genre boundaries.
