원불교 교립 중등학교 “종교” 교과서 개발의 현황과 과제 (Tasks and Present Status of Religious Textbook of Secondary Schools in Won-buddhism)

초록

이 논문은 중등학교 종교교과서 개발의 제반 제도적 환경과 원불교에서 개발한 종교교과서에나타난 과제 및 종교교과서 개발의 방향 또는 미래 전망을 제시하는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다.
이를 위해 선행연구와 기 개발된 교과서의 분석을 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 종교교과서 개발의 제반 제도적 환경의 변화를 어떻게 적용할 것인가의 과제가 있다. 교과서 개발과 관련된 제도적인 환경변화(예: 교육과정, 학생인권조례, 교과서 정책 등)는 교과서 개발에 직ㆍ간접적인 연관이 있기 때문이다. 둘째, 최근 몇 년간 인정도서로 개발된 종교 교과서는불교, 개신교 2종, 통일교 등 불과 수종으로 확인되었다. 따라서 향후 교과서 개발과 관련된 제환경조건을 고려한 새로운 교과서 개발의 여지를 남겨 두고 있다. 셋째, 원불교에서 개발된 종교과 교과서는 대부분 지난 7차교육과정기에 개발된 중학교 교재와 2000년 개발된 고교 종교 교과서가 확인되었다. 따라서 향후 새로운 교육과정 및 제반 교육여건의 변화에 걸맞은 전면적인 새로운 교과서 개발이 요구된다. 끝으로 종교교과서 개발의 방향 또는 미래 전망을 조심스럽게 제기해본다면, 하나는 인정도서로써 종교 교과서 개발을 위한 절차모형과 아울러 개별종교와 관련되지않은 공유부분을 위한 공동체의 참여가 요구된다. 둘은 활용도 제고를 위해 집필과정을 비롯한 교과서 개발과정에 현장교사의 참여와 학교 현장의 요구분석 피드백, 행ㆍ재정적 지원체계 등이 제고되길 기대한다.

영어초록

The main purpose of this paper is to present how the current status and systematic environment of religious textbook provided, and finally acknowledge the tasks and direction for the development of textbook for future in secondary schools established by Wonbuddhism.
For those, by through the analysis of the papers precedent and textbooks developed, I ’d like to present the results of this study so far as follows.
First, there are some tasks concerning the development of textbooks how to apply the systematic environment (eg: curriculum, Act of student right, policies of government on textbooks, etc) to the religious textbook development. Second, recently we can acknowledge the some cases of development of religious textbook, taken an examples, in Buddhism, Protestant, Unification Church etc. The other words, it means that in near future, it needs to develop the new textbooks, based upon changing environment of religious textbooks. Third, in Wonbuddhism, two kinds of religious textbooks were developed in 2002 for middle school students and 2000 for high school students. Finally,it is the time for me to suggest some ideas on the direction of religious textbook development in future. First, it need the some process model of textbook development,at least in shared part beyond the each religious orders, that is to say participation of community organized with various members (composed with academic association community, school teachers, parents representative etc). Second, in order to extend the use of religious textbook in Korean secondary schools, I’d like to recommend the participation of school teachers to the development of religious textbook, and also reflect the needs and feedback in school based ideas on that. Furthermore as possible,reconsider the financial and administrational support for those tasks.
