유아의 상상력 발현에서 나타나는 리토르넬로 변주의 의미 (The Meaning of Ritornello Variations in the Expression of Young Children’s Imagination)

초록

목적 본 연구는 유아의 상상력 발현의 중요성을 Bachelard가 제시하는 물질의 운동성에 기초하여 강조하되, Deleuze의 예술철학인 리토르넬로의 개념으로 유아의 상상력을 다시보기하여 상상력의 창조성과 예술성을 들어내고자 한다.
방법 Bachelard의 상상력의 개념과 유형을 제시하였으며, Deleuze의 리토르넬로의 개념과 특성을 배치와 질료주의에 기초하여정리한 후, 세 개의 배치와 예술사조로 구별되는 리토르넬로를 설명하였다. 이후 연구자의 선행연구에서 유아들의 상상력 발현 사례를 발췌하여 실제 상상력 놀이에서 리토르넬로가 어떻게 변주되는지를 분석하였다.
결과 유아들과 웅덩이 사이의 상상력 놀이 사례들은 배치와 질료의 움직임에 따라 첫째, 조화로운 형상과 질료의 관계를 보여주는다양한 형태의 웅덩이와 만나며 상상을 펼쳐나감으로써 조화로운 형상과 질료의 관계를 보여주는 ‘웅덩이-고전주의 리토르넬로’가시작되었다. 둘째, 날씨과 물이라는 웅덩이의 형상을 포기하고 웅덩이의 본질적인 질료를 중심으로 상상함으로써 ‘수로와 실내웅덩이-낭만주의 리토르넬로’로 유아들의 상상력은 변주되었다. 셋째, 웅덩이라는 형상을 완전히 벗어버리고 웅덩이가 가진 분자적 질료에 집중하여 웅덩이이야기를 상상하여 창조해냄으로써의 상상력 리토르넬로의 변주는 절정의 모더니즘의 리토르넬로를 보여주었다.
결론 Bachelard의 질료의 움직임을 통한 상상력의 창조성과 리토르넬로의 질료의 운동을 통한 예술성은 같은 맥락으로 해석된다.
즉, 상상력은 창조적이며 예술적인 정신작용을 의미하며, 더 나아가 상상력이 발현된 놀이와 삶은 창조적이며 예술적일 수 있다.
따라서 유아들의 삶과 놀이, 상상력, 리토르넬로의 예술성간의 관계들을 살펴 유아들의 삶이 예술적이라는 논의를 제시하였다.

영어초록

Objectives This study emphasizes the importance of the manifestation of children's imagination, based on Bachelard's concept of the mobility of matter, while revisiting the concept of children's imagination through Deleuze's artistic philosophy of Retornello, aiming to reveal the creativity and artistry of imagination.
Methods The study presents Bachelard's concepts and types of imagination, then organizes Deleuze's concept and characteristics of Retornello based on arrangement and materialism, and subsequently explains three variations of Retornello distinguished by arrangement and artistic trends. Following this, the study analyzes how Ritornello is varied in actual imaginative play based on excerpts from previous studies on the manifestation of children's imagination.
Results Examples of imaginative play between children and puddles illustrate the movement of arrangement and material. Firstly, the ‘Puddle-Classicist Ritornello’ began by encountering various forms of puddles, showcasing the harmonious relationship between form and material, and expanding imagination through these encounters.
Secondly, by abandoning the forms of puddles shaped by weather and water, and focusing on the essential materials of the puddle, children’s imagination transformed into the ‘Canals and Indoor Puddles-Romanticist Ritornello.’ Thirdly, by completely shedding the form of the puddle and concentrating on the molecular material of the puddle, the variation of imaginative ritornello reached its climax, presenting the pinnacle of the ‘Modernist Ritornello.’ Conclusions The creativity of imagination through Bachelard's materialistic movements and the artistry of Retornello through its materialistic mobility are interpreted within the same context. In other words, imagination signifies both creativity and artistic mental activity, and furthermore, imaginative play and life can be creative and artistic. Thus, by examining the relationships among children's lives, play, imagination, and the artistry of Ritornello, the study proposes discussions on how children's lives can be artistic.
