초록

인문사회 분야 박사과정생들은 연구자로서의 자긍심과 부담감, 새로운 연구에 대한 고민, 지속적으로 연구를 기획하고 계획할 수 있는 능력을 갖춘 연구자가 되기 위하여 고민하면서, 연구자로서의 정체성을 확립해 가고 있다. 박사과정생들에게 연구자로서의 정체성은 연구력과도 연관되어 있으며, 연구력 강화를 위한 기본은 ‘글쓰기’라고 할 수 있다. 우리나라 대학원 과정에서는 글쓰기에 대한 체계적인 시스템이 이루어지지 않고 있어 이에 대한 보완이 필요하다. 또한, 논문의 완성도를 높이기 위하여 ‘논문연구’ 학점에 대한 제도적 개선도 이루어져야 한다. 박사과정생들의 지속적인 연구를 위하여 이들이 ‘독립 연구자’로서 지원을 받을 수 있는 경제적 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 박사과정생의 독립 연구자 인정과 지원은 과정생들에게는 안정적인 연구 환경 조성이라는 긍정적인 면을, 사회적으로는 연구자의 저변 확대도 기대할 수 있다. 연구자 간 학문 공동체인 ‘연구 네트워크’는 지적인 자극과 정서적인 안정으로 연구력과 연구 환경을 조성하는 데에 많은 영향을 미친다. 연구 네트워크는 연구 환경이 지속될 수 있는 원천이며, 연구 생태계를 구성하는 기본 뿌리로 활성화되어야 한다. 연구 네트워크 활성화를 위한 지원은 제도권과 비제도권으로 나누지 않고, 연구의 목적과 취지로 판단해야 할 것이다. 연구 네트워크 확대를 위해서는 네트워크를 공유하는 플랫폼 형성이 요구된다. 특히, 플랫폼 연결은 수도권으로 편중된 학문 네트워크 극복을 위한 하나의 방안이 될 것이다.

영어초록

Doctoral students in humanities and social sciences are striving to establish their identity by reflecting on their pride and pressure as researchers, contemplating new research, and acquiring the ability to continuously plan and carry out research, in order to become outstanding researchers. For Doctoral students, their identity as researchers is closely related to their research abilities, and writing can be considered as the foundation for enhancing their research capabilities. In the graduate programs in Korea, there is a need for improvement in systematic support for writing as it is currently not well-established. Furthermore, to improve the completeness of academic papers, there should be institutional improvements to the grading system for “thesis research” credits in graduate programs. To support Doctoral students in their continuous research, economic measures need to be put in place so that they can receive financial support as “independent researchers.” Recognizing and supporting Doctoral students as independent researchers can provide them with a stable research environment and expand the recognition of researchers in society. The academic community of researchers, or “research networks,” has a significant impact on enhancing research capabilities and creating a supportive research environment through intellectual stimulation and emotional stability. Research networks are a source for the research environment to continue, and should be activated as the most basic roots that make up the research ecosystem. The support for the activation of the research network should be judged by the purpose and purpose of the research, not by the institutional and non-institutional rights. In order to expand the research network, it is necessary to form a platform to share the network. In particular, the platform connection will be a way to overcome the academic network concentrated in the metropolitan area.
