초록

This research endeavor seeks to formulate a strategy for the management of spare parts inventory predicated on equipment availability and to assess its efficacy through simulation methodologies. The management of spare parts inventory is significantly influenced by the operational rates of equipment and can be classified into independent and dependent demand categories. In this investigation, we introduce a model that determines the optimal inventory levels aimed at maximizing equipment availability while concurrently minimizing associated costs, taking this interdependence into account. The research methodology incorporates Markov chains alongside system dynamics simulation to effectively represent the operational flow of equipment and the variability in spare parts inventory. Specifically, we employed a marginal cost analysis by scrutinizing the costs associated with holding inventory and the costs arising from shortages of spare parts, and we assessed the trade-offs between equipment availability and inventory levels. The findings of this study substantiate that a dependent inventory management strategy is efficacious in augmenting equipment availability and mitigating the accumulation of excess inventory. As a result, this research is anticipated to yield significant contributions to the optimization of spare parts inventory management across diverse industrial sectors.
