‘소설의 TV드라마화’에 반영된 북한 김정은 체제의 정치적 딜레마–원작소설 「딸의 고민」과 텔레비죤극 『표창』 서사 비교 분석을 중심으로– (Political Dilemma of NK Kim Jeong-eun Regime Reflected to ‘TV Dramatization of Original Novel’)

초록

본고는 원작소설 「딸의 고민」과 TV드라마 『표창』의 서사를 비교 분석하여, 각색의 과정에 개입된 김정은 체제의 정치적 의도를 해석하고 그 안에 담긴 인민 현실을 추측하는 징후적 독해를 시도하였다. 우선 원작소설과 TV드라마의 서사를 채트먼의 개념을 통해 서사구조로 정리하고 이를 비교하여 내용과 형식면에서의 차이를 확인하였다. 또한 TV드라마가 함축하는 김정은 체제의 정치적 의도와 인민 현실을 논의하기 위하여 소설의 TV드라마화 과정에서 원작 소설로부터 버려지거나 부재하게 된 의미들과 새롭게 추가된 내용들에 주목하였으며, 이로써 김정은 체제가 처한 정치적 딜레마와 원작소설이 발표된 김정일 시대와 다른 김정은 체제 내 인민 현실의 문제가 무엇인지 확인하였다.
그 결과, TV드라마 『표창』은 원작소설이 지닌 ‘성과주의에 대한 성찰’을 일면 약화하여 전달하는 대신에 사회진출과 계급이동의 사적 욕망을 꿈꾸는 새 세대의 인민들을 공적윤리에 포섭하고자 하는 의도를 강조하고 있었다. 또한 ‘운명론’의 서사를 추가로 삽입하여 개인의 발전을 가치 우위에 두는 새 세대에게 당에 대하여 헌신적인 삶만이 가치 있다고 믿고자 하는 이전 세대의 삶을 강요하고 있었다. 이를 통해 세대 간 갈등을 줄여 인민 결속을 희망하는 체제적 욕망을 드러내고 있었다. 나아가 원작소설이 고난의 행군 시기 요구되던 ‘근검・절약의 이데올로기’를 주장하는 것과 달리 TV드라마는 ‘안전과 책임의 이데올로기’를 내세워 김정은 체제의 북한사회가 직면한 ‘속도전의 한계’와 이에 따른 정치적 딜레마를 반영하고 있음을 확인하였다.
따라서 북한 사회 내부에 개인 발전을 통한 사회적 진출이 가능한 토대 형성과 이로 인한 인민들의 사적욕망 증가 현실을 예상하였다. 또한 속도전이 주는 안전 문제에 대한 인민의 체감 및 그에 따른 불안감 인식과 체제 불신의 문제 등이 현재 북한 사회에 존재하고 있음도 추측하였다. 결과적으로 TV드라마 『표창』을 통해 핵무기 보유와 선군정치로 인하여 제한적・부분적 개혁개방 정책을 지속할 수밖에 없는 김정은 체제의 정책이 최근 달라질 수밖에 없고 달라지고 있는 북한 사회의 인민 현실에서 그 효력을 점차 잃어가고 있음을 목도할 수 있었다.
물론 TV드라마 『표창』에 담겨진 그들의 ‘속도전의 한계’로 인한 ‘안전 문제’에 대한 인정이 만약에 성찰로 나아갈 수 있고 혹시 이것이 새로운 정책적 돌파구 마련으로 이어질 경우, 김정은 체제의 정치적 딜레마를 해결할 수 있는 긍정적 요인으로 작동할 수 있다는 점도 애써 간과할 이유는 없다고 보았다. 그럼에도 불구하고 TV드라마 『표창』은 아무리 보아도 북한 사회가 지닌 문제에 대한 인정과 성찰의 서사로 수용되기보다 변화되는 인민 현실에 대한 김정은 체제의 고민과 이들을 체제 논리에 포섭하려는 정치적 의도가 더 우선적이다.

영어초록

This study analyzed political intentions of Kim Jeong-eun regime that intervened to the course of adaptation process after making a comparative analysis on narratives in 「Daughter's Worry」, original novel, and TV drama 『Citation』, and tried symptomatic reading by which predictions on peoples reality are made roughly. Such research of this study seems to have its meaning in that it grasped political dilemma confronted to Kim Jeong-eun regime at closed North Korea society, and confirmed what's problems of peoples reality were existed in Kim Jeong-Il era having been pronounced in the novel and also in other Kim Jeong-eun regime. This study grasped such narrative differences as traces to which political intentions of Kim Jeong-eun regime was reflected. Thus, a fact was confirmed that TV drama 『Citation』 emphasized intentions of making peoples who were designated to new generation dreaming private desires on social advance and private desires be embraced to public ethnics in stead of delivering contemplation on outcome principle shown in the original novel by weakening it a little in some aspects. In addition, a fact was confirmed that compelling new generation who laid priority to personal development to follow the life of previous generations who believed that only dedicative life to communist party was valuable, lessening conflicts between generations, and hoping subsequent peoples union by inserting narrative of ‘Fatalism’. Furthermore, researcher understood that TV drama reflected political dilemma come out from ‘speed limitations’ which were confronted to North Korea society of Kim Jeong-eun regime by putting forward ‘Ideology of safety and responsibility’, differently from the novel that contained ‘ideology of thrift and saving’ having been required in North Korea famine period. No wonder that lowing phenomena of foreign culture's illegal influxes occurred in current North Korea owing to distributions of IT instrument and activated information communication functions, and the scope of being able to operate private assets in the shade is being increased as trends because of forming Jangmadang (NK market) having been selected helplessly. Like this, to peoples of Kim Jeong-eun regime who are living in the false symbol called socialist civilized nation of modern image provided for visualizing inner development phases regardless of being intended or not by Kim Jeong eun-regime, becoming inherited of private desires of several kinds could be a natural course. However, arts in North Korea society is operated with political ideology of the party at any time, and is busy to conceal various desires inherited to changed peoples reality in this way. Therefore, this study endeavored to search for political intentions of Kim Jeong-eun regime and peoples reality hidden in the backside at the same time through narrative analysis of TV drama which is one of North Korea arts genre. As a result, researcher could witness a tendency such like current policy of Kim Jeong-eun regime where new changes would not be happened at all cannot but be changed these days inevitably and its effect is being lost gradually because they will not give up nuclear weapon that is remained as nearly unique policy resource and sustain limited, partial open policy together with ‘Military first’ policy. Merely, if recognition on safety problems owing to limitations of their ‘speed war’ contained in TV drama 『Citation』 and contemplation are connected to preparing new policy breakthrough, there will be any reason of overpassing the possibility such like it could be operated to positive factors of being able to solve political dilemma of Kim Jeong-eun regime. Nevertheless, in TV drama 『Citation』, agony of Kim Jeong-eun on peoples reality and political intentions of hoping to solve it are exposed more preferentially from all appearances rather than being accepted as narratives for recognizing and contemplating problems.
