만주망명인을 둔 寒洲宗宅 宗婦의 가사문학 -<感懷歌>와 <별한가>- (Gasa of Hanju Head Family's Eldest Daughter-in-law who had an Exile in Manchuria - and -)

초록

<감회가>와 <별한가>는 동일 여성이 쓴 가사이다. 이 논문은 두 가사의 작품론을 목적으로 한다.
2장에서는 먼저 작가의 생애를 구체적으로 재구성했다. 작가는 全義李氏(1855～1922)로 李彦會와 星州李氏 사이에서 장녀로 태어났다. 19살 때 재혼하는 독립운동가 韓溪 李承熙(1847～1916)와 결혼함으로써 한주종택의 종부가 되었으며, 이후 1녀 2남을 낳고 살았다. 그런데 을미사변 이후 남편은 抗日운동에 앞장 서기 시작했다. 급기야 남편이 1908년에 블라디보스톡을 거쳐 만주로 망명하자 막내아들도 부친을 돕기 위해 만주로 건너갔다. 이 때 작가는 두 가사를 지어 남편과 막내아들을 그리워하며 자신의 처지를 한탄한 것이다. 다음으로 의미 파악이 쉽지 않은 서술 내용을 사실적으로 고증했다.
3장에서는 두 가사의 작품세계를 살펴보았다. 먼저 1) ‘그리움과 한탄의 중첩적 서정’을 통해 신변탄식류 가사로서의 양상과 특징을 살폈다. ‘그리움’과 ‘한탄’의 서정이 반복․중첩되는 가운데, ‘그리움’이 ‘병’이 된 심적 상태를 보여준다. 2) ‘여성인식’에서는 자신의 처지를 한탄하며 드러낸 작가의 여성 인식을 살폈다. 작가는 어디든 갈 수 있는 자유를 욕망했으나 현실은 그렇지 못했으므로 사후에라도 남자로 환생하고 싶어 하는 비극적 인식을 지닌다. 그리고 3) ‘만주망명자를 둔 고국인의 민족의식’에서는 독립운동가 아내로서의 민족의식과 그 특징을 살폈다. 일제의 폭압으로 민족의 역사가 위기에 처한 상황에서 한 여성이 민족과 개인, 그리고 남성과 여성의 두 축 사이에서 갈등하고 화해하는 양상을 반영한다.
마지막 4장에서는 두 가사의 가사문학사적 의의를 살폈다. 두 가사는 19세기 신변탄식류 가사의 전통을 이어받아 근대기의 역사와 삶을 수용함으로써 근대기 가사문학의 지속과 변용 양상을 작품 안에 구현한 전형적인 작품이라는 가사문학사적 의의를 지닌다.

영어초록

<Gamhoega> and <Byeolhanga> belong to Gasa written by the same woman. This paper aims for a work review of these two Gasa.
In Chapter Ⅱ, this study re-composed the author's life in more detail. The author belongs to the Lees of Jeonui [1855～1922]and born as the first daughter to Lee, Eon-hyeo and the Lees of Seongju. The author became the first daughter-in-law of Hanju head family clan by marrying Lee, Seung-hee[1847～1916] who was once married and an activist for national liberation movement. After marriage, they lived having one daughter and two sons. In the meanwhile, her husband began to be in the forefront of anti-Japanese movement after the Eulmi Incident. As her husband exiled to Manchuria via Vladivostok after all, her youngest son also went to Manchuria with the aim of assisting his father with his movement. Then, the author lamented her fate missing her husband and son by writing two Gasa.
Next, her Gasa content includes some phrases or statement blocking off the understanding of the world of her works. Thus, this study did historical research such parts realistically in an effort to understand the world of her works.
In Chapter Ⅲ, this study took a look at the world of these two Gasa. First, this study looked at the aspect and characteristic as hard-luck story Gasa through 'the superimposed lyricism of longing and lamentation.' Her works show her mental state in which her 'longing' becomes a 'disease' amid the reiteration and superimposition of 'longing' and 'lamentation.'Second, in 'female perception', this study took a look at the author's female perception which the author exposed while lamenting a woman's circumstances.
The author desired freedom go anywhere as she pleased, and thus assumed a tragic perception of wanting to be reincarnated as a man after death. In addition, third, in the "national consciousness of a homeland resident who have an exile in Manchuria", this study looked at the national consciousness and characteristic as a wife of an activist for national liberation movement. The author reflected the aspect of a woman's conflict and reconciliation between the two axes. i.e. a nation and individual, and man and woman in the circumstance where a nation's history is in a crisis due to the Japanese Empire's oppression.
In last Chapter Ⅳ, this study took a look at the significance of these two Gasa from the viewpoint of Gasa literature history. These two Gasa accepted the history and life in the modern period by taking over the tradition of the 19th century hard-luck-story Gasa. Therefore, these works have a significance from the perspective of Gasa literature history in that they are the typical works embodying the aspects of continuity and transformation of Gasa literature in the modern period in works.
