초록

본 연구는 미성년 자녀를 둔 부부들의 대화 장면을 녹화․분석하여 이들의 갈등주제와 역기능적 상호작용 유형을 살펴보았으며 자기보고식 설문을 통해 측정한 부부조망수용과 이 변인들 간의 관계를 탐색하였다. 연구참여자는 미성년 자녀를 둔 부부 열 쌍(N=20)을 우연적 표집하였으며, 통제된 세팅(상담실)에서 부부가 미해결된 문제에 대해 30분간 대화 나누는 모습을 녹화하였다. 두 명의 훈련된 평정자가 녹화자료를 보며 5분 단위로 분절하여 갈등대화주제와 역기능적 상호작용 유형을 부호화하였다. 갈등대화주제는 부부문제, 자녀문제, 원가족문제, 재정문제, 기타 등 5개의 범주로 분류되었고, 역기능적 상호작용 유형은 상호적대, 남편요구/아내철회, 아내요구/남편철회, 상호철회 등 4개 범주로 나누었다. 부부의 조망수용에 대해 성, 결혼기간, 갈등주제 및 역기능적 상호작용 유형과의 상관을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 부부갈등대화 주제 범주에서 부부문제가 가장 많았으며 다음으로 자녀문제와 재정문제 순이었다. 둘째, 부부의 역기능적 상호작용 유형은 상호적대가 가장 많았으며, 다음으로 아내요구/남편철회, 남편요구/아내철회 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 본인의 조망수용에 대해서는 아내가 남편보다 높게 지각하는 경향이 있었다. 넷째, 남편요구/아내철회 유형일수록 부부갈등주제로서 원가족 문제가 많이 나타났으며, 배우자 조망수용이 높을수록 부부갈등주제로 자녀문제와 재정문제는 높았고, 부부문제는 낮았으며 아내요구/남편철회 유형은 적게 나타났다.

영어초록

This study examined the status of conflictual issues of marital conversation, patterns of dysfunctional interaction, and dyadic perspective-taking among Korean couples with minor children based on observational and self-report methods. For this study, ten couples(N=20) were collected by accidental sampling with the condition that they were free from serious marital problems and had children under 18 years old. The couples were indicated to discuss unresolved issues for 30 minutes in a controlled setting. The couples' conversation was videotaped, and their conflictual issues and interaction patterns were analyzed based on systematic observation. Conflictual issues were encoded into five categories: couple issue, child issue, financial issue, family-of-origin issue, and other. Interaction patterns were encoded into four categories: mutual hostility, husband demand/wife withdrawal, wife demand/husband withdrawal, and mutual withdrawal. Also, the couples' dyadic perspective-taking was measured by a self-report survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS Win 17.0 program, and the results were as follows. First, couple issue was the most frequent conflict category then followed by child issue, financial issue, and family-of-origin issue. Second, among the marital interaction patterns, mutual hostility was the most prevalent pattern followed by wife demand/husband withdrawal pattern, and then husband demand/wife withdrawal pattern. Third, women were more likely than men to highly perceive their own perspective-taking. Finally, significant correlations were found: husband demand/wife withdrawal pattern was correlated to family-of-origin issue; higher perspective-taking of the spouse correlated to higher child issue and higher financial issue; and higher perspective-taking of the spouse correlated to lower couple issue and lower wife demand/husband withdrawal.
