팔만대장경 보전의 홍익생태학적 함의 (The implication of Ecological idea of Hongik Spirit about conservation of Tripitaka Koreana)

초록

이 글의 목적은 서구 물질문명이 만든 지구 생태 위기를 극복하려는 새로운 패러다임 을 홍익 정신에서 찾고, 홍익 가치에 입각한 생태 사상을 정립하고, 전통적 홍익 생태문 화를 찾아내어 그 의미를 살펴보려는 것이다. 그러기 위해서 인간이 만든 자연이라는 해인사 팔만대장경 장경판각을 대상으로 홍익 생태학적인 관점에서 그 함의를 찾아보려는 것이다.
홍익 생태학은 홍익 가치의 핵심인 하나에서 나와 삼극을 이루지만 같은 속성을 지녔다는 천지인 사상과 율려의 현실체인 정기신의 삼원오행의 원리 그리고 산자분수 령 산천 족보 등을 이론적 바탕으로 하고, 지구경영 관점에서 지구시민의식으로 홍익인 간이 되어 이화세계를 위한 실천적 지향을 가진다. 또한 뛰어난 홍익적 가치를 가진 생태문화를 발굴하고 그 의미를 부여하려는 것이다.
홍익 생태학적인 입장에서 본 팔만대장경의 보전 원리는 첫째로 역사적으로 검증된 장소였다. 배달국 법통을 이은 부여의 후손이 세운 가야 시대에는 가야산 산신인 정견모 주(正見母主)의 사당이었으며 통일신라와 고려 초에는 해인사의 교종 경전의 도서관으 로, 고려 중기 시대부터는 고려실록의 외사고(外史庫)로 사용된 곳이다. 둘째로 바람, 온도, 습기 등의 자연에너지를 활용할 수 있는 최적의 위치 선정이고, 셋째로 스스로 생기를 공급하는 자연 생명 시스템 건축이라는 것이다.
이런 팔만대장경의 보전 원리의 홍익 생태학적인 함의는 배달국 시대부터 내려온 지감, 조식, 금촉의 선도 수련을 통한 근원자와 자연과의 교류 기감의 발달에서 그 단초를 찾을 수 있다. 팔만대장경 보전의 홍익 생태학적인 의의는 생명, 조화 상생의 시대에 걸맞은 좋은 예가 될 수 있으며, 이를 보전 계승하기 위해서는 더 많은 성통공완 의 지구시민이 생성되어야 하는 과제도 갖고 있다.

영어초록

This study is aimed at tracing a new paradime from Hongik Sprit (humanitarian spirit of Korea) to overcome the earth critical situation caused by western material civilization, defining an ecological idea grounded on the value of Hongik Spirit, and finding ecological culture of traditional Hongik Spirit for looking into its mening.
This study also aims finding out an implication, from the ecological idea of Hongik Spirit about the Miscellaneous Buddhist Scriptures of Printing Woodblocks of the Tripitaka Koreana in Haein-sa Temple, which is called as a nature made by human.
The humanitian ecology constitutes through Cheon-ji-in Idea of the tripolar from one(the univers is composed of the three geniuses; Heaven, Earth and Human), Joung-ki-shin(精ㆍ氣ㆍ神, three elelemnts; essence, feelings and body) of The doctrine of the five natural elements of the three-dimension(the five primary substance; metal, wood, water, fire, earth) as of the true nature of Yoolleo(律呂), and the genealogical table of the watershed of a mountain stream. and is also concerned practical orientation for the World of Peace(理化世界) and humanitarianism(弘益人間) as citizen’s consciousness of the earth to communicate with others from earth management point. and this study is to discover an ecological culture of valuable humanitarianism for its significance.
In the conception of the humaintarian ecology, the Printing Woodblocks of the Tripitaka Koreana is seemed to have three fundamentals of preservation; as an ancestral shrine for Jounggyunmojoo mountain god in the Gaya period (42-532 AD) as well as a Sutra library in Haein-sa Temple in the period of unified Shilla and early Koryo Dynasty, while it is the place of being historically verified as the Koryo Chronicles library in the middle of Koryo dynasty. It also is the best place to make good use of natural energy such as wind, temparature and moisture, and is a construction of natural lifesystem supplies natural vitality by itself.
In accordance with the developed commune between nature and the originator of Sun-Do practice such as being unfeeling(Jigam), contrl breath(JoSic) and prohibit touth(GowmChouk) descended down since Baedalkook(Korean tribe nation), preservation fundermentals of the Printing Woodblocks of the Tripitaka Koreana has a significant meaning in the sense of humanitarian ecology.
In the significant meaning of humanitarian ecology to preserve the Printing Woodblocks of the Tripitaka Koreana, it will be an example when we find a suitable model to these days of cohabitaion in harmony. and there is a task to educate more people for the earth environment.
