『유녀대학(遊女大学)』과 『여대학(女大学)』 -유녀 교육의 실천과 의도 - (『Yujodaigaku』and『onnadaigaku』)

초록

本研究は『女大学』をモチーフにして書かれた『遊女大学教草』に注目 し、遊女教育の実践とその意図について考察した。『遊女大学』の先行研究 が皆無に等しい状況を踏まえて、江戸時代中期から広く普及されていた女性教 育書『女大学』研究を参考にしつつ、遊女教育の実践とその意図を探ってみる ことにした。 『女大学』は日本の教育史で重要な位置に付けられ、主に教育史研究の観 点から研究されてきた。一方『女大学』の成立と普及に対する歴史的過程につ いての研究も行われ、1970年以後の女性学に対する関心が高まる中で、近世女性史を再照明する研究の進展があった。ところが、『女大学』分野では、変わ らず女性規範という伝統社会の範疇の中にとじ込まれている感がする。 ここで注目したいのは、一般庶民の女性だけではなく、その最下位に位置 している遊女を教育することはいかなる意味をもっているのか、またその教 育実践について考察した。まず、遊女教育の前提は、公認された遊廓内の売 春業者の利益創出のための遊女管理であることが注目される。また、遊女屋 の営業創出のために遊女に一方的に注入された教育書であることから、一般 婦女子に男性本位の家庭経営のため男性に対して絶対的服従が要求された共 通項をもっていることが分かる。 一般女性と遊女の身分がそれぞれ違った社会的環境と與件の中で彼女らを 対象として提示した道徳的な規範と倫理意識は正反対の意味合いを持ちなが らも他者の手段と利益のために両書が利用されていたことが確認できた。

영어초록

With the legalization of licensed prostitution, the book 『Yujodaigaku: 遊女大 学』was published for the purpose to manage the licensed prostitutes.
『Onadaigaku:女大学』was published because there were high demands in women education with the book called [yujodaigaku:遊女大学]from the middle era of Edo.
Under such circumstances,『Yujodaigaku:遊女大学』was introduced in order to education the prostitutes who were categorized as the lowest social status even among the female.
It is very important to evaluate the purpose of educating the prostitutes and also figuring out what kinds of method were employed during the process. By conducting such research, it will help to understand the real status as well as improve the way of understanding what licensed prostitution was from the different perspective compared to general idea. Because 『Yujodaigaku:遊女大学』 was not only cover the general rules and knowledge regarding the prostitutes but also it covered the methods and ways to manage the brothel region including generating profits and managing individual prostitution parlor.
Therefore this research aims to evaluate the contents of the action guides for the prostitutes in book, 『Yujodaigaku:遊女大学』. Based on the research it will also see how the prostitutes were managed and employed in forming an ideal environment for the brothel business in the modern licensed prostitution times of Japan.
Brothel, prostitute and customer are the core elements to figure out the licensed prostitution. For the better evaluation of the licensed prostitution, seeing how the authority used and managed those 3 elements will be a crucial.
