초록

본 논문은 일제강점기 조선에 정착한 화교들이 중국국민당과의 연계를 통해 어떻게 발전하였고, 이 과정에서 나타난 갈등과 분열을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 특히 1927년 중국국민당 조선지부의 설립 이후 조선 화교 사회와의 관계를 조명하고, 이로 인해 화교 사회의 정체성과 안정성에 미친 영향을 살펴보고자 한다.
국민당 조선 지부는 1913년 처음 조직되었고, 1927년 경성지부가 본격적으로 활동을 시작하면서 세력을 확대해 갔다. 1929년에는 남경 중앙당부의 직속지부로 개편하기로 결정하여 더욱 강화되었지만, 1931년 배화폭동과 만주사변 이후 위축되는 양상을 보이기 시작했다. 조선에서의 국민당 조직은 설립 이후 정치적 환경의 변화에 따라 발전과 정체를 반복하며 복잡한 양상을 보였다. 조선 화교 사회도 국민당의 정치적 노선과 밀접하게 연계되어 갔다. 이 과정에서 화교 사회의 정치적 정체성과 조직적 측면이 강화되었다. 본국 정부의 정책이나 노선은 화교 사회의 정체성 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만, 동시에 내부적인 갈등과 사회적 분열을 초래하는 요인으로 작용하기도 했다. 특히 국민당 조직과 기존 화교 단체 간의 갈등은 화교 사회의 동요와 분화의 중요한 원인이 되었다.
경성총영사관 부지 매각과 인천판사처 주임 피습 사건 등의 사례를 통해 국민당과 조선 화교 간의 불협화음을 구체적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 사건들은 정치적 긴장 상태를 드러내며 화교 사회 내부의 권력 구조와 갈등의 복잡성을 더욱 부각시켰다.

This paper aims to analyze how the Chinese community in Korea, which settled during the Japanese occupation, developed through its connections with the Kuomintang, and to examine the conflicts and divisions that arose during this process. In particular, it highlights the relationship between the Chinese community and the Kuomintang in Korea after the establishment of the Kuomintang's Korean branch in 1927, and the impact this had on the identity and stability of the Chinese community.
The Kuomintang branch in Korea was first organized in 1913, and it began to expand its influence in earnest with the launch of the Gyeongseong branch in 1927. In 1929, it decided to restructure itself as a direct branch under the Central Party in Nanjing, further strengthening its position. However, after the Manchurian Incident in 1931, signs of contraction began to emerge. The Kuomintang organization in Korea displayed a complex pattern, alternating between development and stagnation in response to changes in the political environment. The Korean Chinese community was also closely linked to the political line of the Kuomintang. This process reinforced the community's political identity and organizational aspects. While the policies and lines of the government in the homeland positively influenced the formation of the Chinese community's identity, they also acted as factors that led to internal conflicts and social divisions. In particular, conflicts between the Kuomintang organization and existing Chinese associations became significant causes of turmoil and fragmentation within the Chinese community.
Specific cases, such as the sale of the Gyeongseong Consulate property and the assault on the head of the Incheon Office, concretely illustrate the disharmony between the Kuomintang and the Korean Chinese community. These incidents reveal the political tensions and further highlight the complexities of the power structure and conflicts within the Chinese community.
