장애인 가구원이 있는 다문화가족 국내연구 동향 분석 (Analysis of Research Trends on Multicultural Households with Disabled Family Members)

초록

2000년대 중반부터 실시된 한국의 다문화가족정책은 우리 사회에서 다문화가족의 존재를 인정하고 정책적 지원 명분을 분명히 하여, 인도적 차원의 지원을 강화하였다. 변화하는 정책만큼이나 우리 사회에서 다문화가족의 규모 또한 지속적으로 증가하였으며, 이와 더불어 관련 연구들이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 그동안 진행되어 온 장애인 가구원이 있는 다문화가족에 대한 국내 연구는 어떤 동향을 보이며, 연구 주제는 어떠한가를 분석해 보고 다문화가족 지원과 관련해 어떤 연구가 진행되어야 하는가를 제안하였다. 이를 위해 국내 학술지에 게재된 논문 22편을 대상으로 연구년도, 방법, 주제, 대상, 주제어를 분석하였으며, 결론을 정리 하였다. 연구 결과 그동안 진행된 연구는 가족 구성원 중 장애아동이 있는 다문화장애아동에 대한 연구가 주를 이루고 있어 다문화장애가족 중 배우자, 부모 등 그 범위를 넓힐 필요가 있다. 가족구성원의 장애유형에 있어 발달장애인, 정신장애인으로 한정되어 있는데, 가족구성원 중 신체적 장애를 가진 다문화가족이 존재하고 있으며, 이들도 사회적 지지와 관심이 필요한 집단인 만큼 이에 대한 연구도 진행되어야 한다. 연구 결론도 사회적지지의 필요성, 다문화가족 프로그램 안에서의 장애관련 프로그램 개발 등과 같은 미시적인 차원에서의 해결방안을 제시한 것이 대부분으로 보다 근본적인 방안을 제시할 수 있는 거시적인 차원에서의 접근에 관한 연구도 다양하게 이루어져야 한다.

영어초록

Korea’s multi-cultural family policy, which has been implemented from the mid 2000s, strengthened humanitarian assistance by acknowledging the existence of multi-cultural families in the society and clarifying the cause for providing support by policy. Ever since, the number of multi-cultural families in the society has increased continuously, and related studies have also increased. However, little is known about multi-cultural families and people with disabilities in the family members. Therefore, the current study analyzed the trend of domestic research on multi-cultural households with disabled members, as well as the research topics, and proposed what kind of research should be conducted in support of multicultural families. To this end, 22 studies published in local journals were analyzed on the aspects of research year, method, topic, subject and key words. It was found that most studies focused on the households with disabled children or multi-cultural disabled children. Therefore, there is a call for studies that involve various subjects, including spouses and parents. It was also fount that the research topics were limited to people with developmental and mental disabilities when, in fact, multi-cultural families with physically disabled members do exist. Since they also need social support and attention, further research on them should be conducted. In addition, because the approaches are mainly microscopic, such as the need for social support and the development of disability-related programs within the multi-cultural family program, studies with macroscopic approaches need to be conducted.The study showed that most studies focused on the households with disabled children or multi-cultural disabled children. Therefore, studies analyzed need to be conducted in various aspects. They are very limited to people with developmental disabilities and mental disabilities but multi-cultural families with physical disabilities do exist and since they are also groups that need social support and attention, further research on them should be conducted. The approach is also mainly microscopic, such as the need for social support and the development of disability-related programs within the multi-cultural family program. There should also various studies regarding macroscopic approaches.
