癸未使行團과 大江資衡의 筆談唱和錄 『問佩集』에 대하여 (On Monpaishu, a Record of Literary Writing Conversations between the Kyemi Envoy and Ooesikou)

초록

본고는 癸未使行團과의 筆談唱和에 매우 적극적이었던 京都의 文士인 大江資衡과 그의 『問佩集』에 대한 것이다. 大江資衡은 癸未使行團과 필담창화를 나눈 關西地域 문사들의 연결고리 역할을 했고, 『問佩集』이 포함된 『和韓雙鳴集』에는 당시 關西地域 문사들의 그러한 인적 네트워크가 잘 반영되어 있다. 그럼에도 大江資衡과 그의 『問佩集』은 조선후기 통신사행과 필담창화와 관련된 한일 양국의 학계에서 거의 언급된 바 없다. 그런 점에서 大江資衡의 變姓名 전후 사정과 그의 『問佩集』에 집중하여 연구한 본고는 癸未使行을 포함한 조선후기 통신사행과 필담창화에 관련한 연구에 새로운 관점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.
大江資衡은 癸未使行團과의 필담창화에서 거듭해서 渤海使 裵璆를 거론하면서 한일문사간의 필담창화가 천년을 이어온 것임을 강조하였다. 본고에서 특별히 주목하는 것은 大江資衡으로 대표되는 근세 이전 일본 문사들의 이러한 역사인식이다. 이와 달리, 계미사행의 문사들은 渤海使에 대해 이렇다 할 관심을 표하지 않았던 바, 본고에서는 이러한 양국 문사간의 인식의 차이를 『問佩集』에 실려 있는 창화시문을 통해 확인하고자 했다.
『問佩集』은 『和韓雙鳴集』의 출간에 앞서 별도로 간행된 바 있는 독립된 저작물이다. 그럼에도 『問佩集』이 『和韓雙鳴集』에 ‘附’의 형식으로 편입되게 된 것은 幽蘭社와 蒹葭堂會, 混沌社 등이 서로 얽혀 있는 당시 關西地域 문단의 상황이 반영된 것이다. 癸未使行을 전후한 關西地域의 문단 상황은 너무나 복잡하여 쉽게 파악할 수 없는 때문으로, 본고에서는 18세기 후반의 日本 關西地域 文壇을 파악하는 작업의 일환으로 『問佩集』을 매개로 해서 幽蘭社를 주도한 龍草廬와 大江資衡의 주변을 살피고자 하였다.

영어초록

This study is on Monpaishu of Ooesikou, a literary man in Kyoto, who was very active in literary writing conversations with the Kyemi Envoy. Ooesikou played a role of liaison with literary persons in the region of Kansai who shared literary writing conversations with the Kyemi Envoy. Wakansomeishu appending Monpaishu was a good reflection of the human network among literary persons in the region of Kansai at that time. However, Ooesikou and his Monpaishu has scarcely been mentioned in the academic circles of Korea and Japan, related to the Kyemi Envoy and literary writing conversations in the late Chosun Dynasty. In that respect, this study focusing on Ooesikou and his Monpaishu will offer a new perspective to studies related to the Kyemi Envoy and literary writing conversations in the late Chosun Dynasty.
Ooesikou repeatedly mentioned a Balhae envoy, Bargyoo, in literary writing conversations with the Kyemi Envoy, and emphasized that the conversations between Korean and Japanese literary persons had more than 1,000 years of history. The key note of this study is the historical consciousness of Japanese literary persons whom Ooesikou represented before modern times. By contrast, nobody of the Kyemi Envoy did not express any concern to Balhae envoy. So this study researched in which these differences in perception of a man of letters between the two countries taken to respond to verify through Monpaishu.
Monpaishu was an independent literary work, published separately before the publication of Wakansomeishu. Nevertheless, Monpaishu was attached to Wakansomeishu in a form of appendix. It reflected the contemporary literary circles in Kansai, where Yuransha, Kenkadogai, Kontonsha, etc were entwined together.
Before or after the Kyemi Envoy, the situation of the contemporary literary circles in Kansai was very complicated. Therefore, we can not be easily understood. So this study researched the around of yousoryo and Ooesikou who led the Yuransha as part of the work that identifies the literary circles as part of task that grasp the contemporary literary circles in Kansai in the late 18th century.
