초록

본 연구는 2007년․2009년 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 체육 3~4학년 국정․검정 교과서의 건강 활동을 비교 분석함으로써 건강 교육의 활성화 및 향후 새로운 검정 교과서를 집필하는데 필요한 자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 2007년․2009년 개정 교육과정에 따른 체육 3~4학년 국정․검정 교과서를 비교, 분석하였다.
구체적인 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 2007년 개정 교육과정은 대영역, 중영역, 소영역의 단계로 이루어졌지만, 2009년에서는 소영역을 삭제하였고, 교육과정 내용 구성에서는 건강 활동과 관련된 내용으로만 해야 할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 초등 체육 3~4학년 국정 교과서 건강 활동 집필진은 교수 4명, 연구원 1명이고, 성별은 모두 남성이지만, 2009년 개정 초등 3~4학년군 검정 교과서는 대부분 초등교사가 1명 이상씩 포함되어 있고, 성별에서는 대부분 남성이다. 셋째, 국정 교과서는 내용을 설명함에 있어서 단순하게 제시되어 있는 것이 특징이고, 검정 교과서는 국정 교과서에 비해 단계별로 명확하고 자세한 설명을 통하여 교과서 활용을 안내한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 국정 교과서는 건강 활동이 차지하는 비율이 22.8%, 24.4%로서 검정 교과서에 비해 높은 구성 비율을 나타냈다. 다섯째, 대부분의 국정, 검정 교과서의 건강 활동의 학습문제는 이해력이 주를 이루고 있다.

By comparatively analyzing the health activities listed in the government designated textbook for third and fourth graders in elementary school following the 2007 and 2009 revision of curriculum, the study seeks to present the data necessary for writing a government designated or authorized textbook in the future and for promoting physical education. To that end, government designated and authorized textbook for third and fourth graders in elementary school used for physical education under the 2007 and 2009 revision of curriculum were compared and analyzed.
The specific study findings are as follows.
First, The 2007 curriculum was divided into a larger category, middle category and small category, but in the 2009 revision, the small category was removed and the content has to be only of that related to health activities. Second, the writers for the health activity section for government designated physical education textbook used for third and fourth graders of elementary school consist of 4 university professors and 1 researcher. They were all male. In the 2009 revision for authorized textbook, there was at least 1 elementary school teacher included in the writing staff in most cases for government designated physical education textbook for third and fourth graders. By gender, most were male. Third, one of the characteristics of government designated textbook is that the explanation of content is rather simple, while authorized textbook had more detailed and clear explanation for each stage compared to the government designated textbook. Fourth, government designated textbook consisted of 22.8% of health activity-related content, which was higher than the 24.4% for authorized textbook. Fifth, the review questions on health activities in most government designated and authorized textbook were focused on comprehension of concepts.
