일본초등학교 5학년 국어교과서 문학교재의 특징 - 테마를 중심으로 - (A Study on Characteristics of Japanese Textbook for Fifth - Year Students of Elementary School - With Focus on Literary Themes -)

초록

本稿は、『国語五銀河』(光村図書出版発行、2011年)に収録された創作作品の特徴を、テーマを中心に分析したものである。「季節の言葉」に載っている俳句や和歌、また「声にだして楽しもう」に載っている古典は対象外にした。『国語五銀河』には、童話などの散文が6作品、詩と童詩が8作品、合計14の創作作品が収録されている。作品のテーマを間テクスト性に焦点をあわせてまとめると、次の三つの特徴を指摘することができる。第一、エコロジー関連のテーマが、相変わらず高い比重を占めているのみならず、自然の存在価値が多様な位相で描かれている点である。第二、<価値>の問題が個人領域、関係領域、共同体領域、エコロジー領域にわたって、モチーフとなっている点である。理想的な男性という個の価値、友情という関係を成立させる価値の共感、共同体における価値観の継承等である。ただ、盛り込まれている価値観が、生存優先の個性的な生の宣言という現代的な価値も歌われているが、男性中心の伝統的な理想が尊重されていることが認められる。実力で存在価値を立証する男性とその男性に感動し、圧倒される女性というジェンダー的構図も覗かれる。第三、家族共同体を扱った二つの作品が収録され、『国語四』には見られなかった、共同体領域が全面に登場した点である。「雪女」は、雪女と人間が結ばれて築いた家庭が、禁忌を破ることによって瓦解する悲劇を、「わらぐつの中の神様」は、価値観が継承され、家族の絆が強化される、心暖まる出来事を描いている。しかし、「わらぐつのなかの神様」において、職人精神というイデオロギーは、技能によって伝授されるのではなく、物語によって、祖母から孫娘へと伝授される。その点、「わらぐつの中の神様」は国語教科書の縮小版といえる。なぜなら光村図書出版、国語教科書は祖父母と同居しない多くの生徒たちにとって、伝統的な価値、伝統的な人間像を学び継承する、巨大な擬似家族の場であるからだ。

영어초록

This study analyses a Japanese textbook for fifth-year students of elementary school, 「Kokugo(国語) 5 Ginga(銀河)」, published by Mitsumura Tosho in 2011. The textbook consists of 14 literary works in total; six prose and eight verse. By analysing the themes of the works with a focus on intertextuality, one can find the characteristics as follows: First, the theme of color “green” still remains significant, and the worth of nature is seen through various levels. Second, the matter of ‘value’ works as a common motive throughout four sectors ― individual, relationship, community, and ecology. As an individual, one must pursue the qualities of an “ideal man.” In relationship, one can share values with others, thereby building up friendship. As a member of a community, one must share values with others, thereby passing them to the next generation. However, the idea of an “ideal man” shows a traditional male-centric value. It reveals a gender frame, in which men prove their capability by working steadfastly, and women feel impressed and overwhelmed by men’s hard work. Third, the sector of “community,” which was not seen in the fourth year textbook, newly appears in the fifth year textbook and is highlighted by two stories that cover the theme of family; 「Yuki-Onna」 and 「God in Snowshoes」. While the former portrays a painful tragedy where a family’s happiness is totally destroyed, the latter is a warm-hearted story where a family’s love and sense of connection become stronger. However, in 「God in Snowshoes」, the value of craftsmanship is passed to the next generation not by teaching actual skills but by telling a story. In this respect, 「God in Snowshoes」 can be seen as a microcosm of the textbook as a whole. Just like the story, where a grandmother teaches her grand daughter traditional values of their society throughout storytelling, the textbook itself acts as a family that delivers traditional human values and qualities to the students who are not living with their grandparents.
